Thx again for allowing us to hang out in the shed, watching you guys pour your blood, sweat and gears into another mammoth project. The smile at the end of the Dyno session says it all, now go out there and drive. Till the fuel tank runs dry, till there is no tyre trend left and made some memories. ❤❤

0:41 Damn straight! There's so many nicks on my hands i've stopped counting them. Cars are my hobby away from other hobbies and work. Also a connection to my past and family. They're never easy to work on and any project you undertake that's more than swapping the fluids (tho even that one depends on who tightened the bung last) is bound to be a long term process, be it for work reasons or just plain inertia of getting things done right (which is why we start doing things in the first place).

I try not to miss an episode but thanks for sharing the start to finish guys👍 Wagons with barras are becoming something I'd like in the future so as always cheers and love the channel.
@mndlessdrwer Жыл бұрын
The 10mm socket is a master escape artist. Buy them in bulk. I'm still mad that Ford of America never tried to bring the modern Barra engine back to the US. At least we got the EcoBoost V6 series, which is nice, but it isn't nearly as robust and it's a lot more complicated to make serious power from. Like, decent power is very easy to find. You can mod chip or ECU swap an EcoBoost V6 and make 450-500HP relatively easily, but if you want to make more than that, you're kind of out of luck without tearing everything down. I also think that large flake pearl white is a wholly underappreciated color for cars. It's easily one of my favorites and I'm very happy to see you painting a classic JDM wagon in such a color. I think it suits the car beautifully.

I wonder if anyone has ever made a slant conversion for a Barra... 25:09 yup. Silver solder (and other types of similar welding) aren't very difficult to achieve once you have the theory down. It's just a matter of being patient with the process and yourself and giving it a go. Certainly VERY useful skill to have in your bag of tricks, and something every car fella with a shop should learn even if they only use it once or twice.

Looks good, I had a older Crown to which I put a Holden 186S engine, celica bellhousing and flywheel with the standard crown transmission with the old pull leaver overdrive and it was the best drive I ever had, was never short on power , economical and rode like on glass. Excellent video! I liked your approach to explaining exactly the what’s and why’s for your doing things. I love sleepers. I have a subcompact 66 Rambler American. The best is it has a 383 cu inch stroker that dyno tested to meet and exceed 435 horsepower by Blueprint Engines. Just what a 75 year old needs. I have had it sideways a couple of times. Pulled it out of that with no physical damage.

Congrats, Woody! She's a real beaut!! I'm with you on the project car highs & lows... my health has taken a nosedive as of late, so it's kinda slowed down the Viva build. The finances are no longer there, so the turbo YB engines, new parts & Haltech elite 2500 had to be sold in favour of cheaper Range Rover 4.6 V8 gear. At least I'll get it done some day... 10 years & counting! Cheers. Leigh.
