Really nice, next step would be lubing the switches and stabilisers, will really make them sound better. I have never made a custom keyboard myself tho, cant afford it.
@beatslain5594 ай бұрын
The Keyboard and switches looked good but sounded a little "hallow" so I would suggest modding it some how maybe by putting paper or foam in it with a tape mod to make it sound "deeper" and less clacky.

You really need to also look at Gamakay that have really good keyboards and rgb they also have now a really good switch it is called phoenixes. And al there stuff is not very expensive. So if you also want to begin keyboard building you can start there really good and quick

I would suggest adding some foam in between the pcb and case and to add o-rings to the stabilisers as well as a weight in the bottom with some foam, I would also suggest tape modding it (wrapping the pcb in electrical tape)

I can recommend one mod to help the keyboard sound better if you have some painters or masking tape wrap the pcbs back side in tape its called the tape mod on KZbin it makes the keyboard sound thocky just use the right tape to not burn the keeb but other than that it makes it sound so goood

@@matt_obrien you can invest in a teleprompter, set up another screen (phone, tablet, laptop) below or above your camera to use as a teleprompter, or another method would be to memorize a few lines at a time and read off to the camera, then go back and edit out all the pauses in-between. these are all common practices that a lot of professionals and content creators use.

I wouldn't really call assembling a kit of premade parts "building a custom keyboard". You're just assembling a company's mass produced product. That's the opposite of custom. Yeah okay keycaps and switches, but that's pretty basic. I came here expecting to find a video designing a custom PCB, etc.
