We have all the big logs out of the forest and ready to build our big beautiful log home. It has been a wonderful process putting in the manual labor to claim the logs that will make beautiful building material that doesn't cost anything! It has been a lot of fun cutting down the logs and pulling them out of the bush but now it is time to start stacking up the logs and building our log home!
Traplines and Inlines Offical Merchandise: traplinesandin...
Welcome to Traplines and Inlines
I have the pleasure of sharing my passions for the wilderness, building, fixing and all other things interesting with my great group of KZbin friends.
I have lived offgrid in the bush for over 3 years, but now I am moving to the next chapter in my life and am building a big log home as my next place to live. It is going to be an incredible journey building my own home. I am using logs I harvested myself and plan to do most of the work by myself. This project will be the main focus of my channel, with many other adventures along the way im sure!
Thank you for watching

Then, new subs will go back and watch your earlier videos and discover what those of us who have been there on your journey from the beginning…a very entertaining channel created by a right dandy, industrious, intelligent, compassionate, ambitious, creative and hard working young man loving life in in the Canadian bush! Oh boy!!! Back out here with you again young man as we experience the adrenalin of you felling some gynormous extra tall timbers . Gets the blood pumping in ya ears as those big huas come crashing down. Can't say I've ever seen so many 1 trunk tinbers, splitting into 2 trunks; then the added bonus of them both being tall, and straight, and healthy ; making them both usable in the build. This is going to be one badass build you're going do Kyle and I'm on that tractor with you for the entire build !!!! Have just finished watching Shawn James on his Self Reliance channel in Canada, build his log scribed homestead to livable space this winter . This is his 2nd log hone build, the 1stt fell foul of jealous neighbours and what was wilderness became roads and oeople populating. Now he's gone deep into the wilderness, much like yourself, if you don't watch him, it'd probably do you a heap of good to go have a gander at the steady pace of an older bush gentleman, and learn what you can from him, share what you know, and I'll just sit here revelling in the combination of knowledge & wisdom from you both. You most def got in there and got some seripus shite done. Can't wait for your next video man. I'm so darn hooked on this build I fe like I'm just waiting to throw my feet into my boots and sling on the warmest wind cheater I own , grabbing a huge flask of dark coffee and just cgetting it done. ( ps. I'm not a fan of your expletives and I try to ignore them but please can ya not be using the Good Lords name in vain. It hurts my heart cos I love Him deeply but your bringing curses upon your young life doing it, so pleaaase stop. I'd hate to see such raw enthusiasm cut short from blaspheming yhe Almighty Creator, Thankyou for being respectful Kyle). I'm an old girl now and have seen much in life, have lost my only son to suicide,so I know what I'm talking about. I only want good and healthy outcomes for you , young man. Blessings & safe working hours from the Kand Down Under aka Ipswich Queensland Australia 🇦🇺🤗🙏💕👍👊✌️👏🇨🇦

Life long logger here from the Pacific Northwest. I spent many years falling timber. Your doing it right. Did see you step directly behind a tree as it left the stump. Don’t do that. Listening to your saw, I think you could probably put a 25 inch bar and chain on it. A full wrap handle bar can make things easier as well. May not make one for a smaller saw like yours. Awesome explanation about selective cutting. Thank you for that.Looking forward to the build.

Hello my friend, another deadly video! You should get yourself a felling lever, it'll save time wedging those trees over. Wedges still have their place, but a lever is the ticket for saving time and effort with wedges to make them start to go over. Cheers!

My late grandfather's friend built his log home on 80 acres completely surrounded by 1000s of acres of state land It took him years to finish as he was working a 40hr+ work week from what I remember he mostly did it himself as well but later in life sold it for I believe 1 mil. Before my grandfather passed he had made friends with the new owners and I got to take a bit of a tour and it made me appreciate all the work that went in and they were still doing work to it to make it what they want.
