There are apparently many ways to build this car so this is only showing what I have done so far. Not intended to be instructional and some things may change again as I go through the build process. Subscribe and like so you don't miss the next videos. Thanks for your continued support!

I have a question about the interior. When you install the dashboard fiberglass inside, what tools do i need to use to install it? And the center console as well.
@latenightdiy1496
@latenightdiy1496 Ай бұрын
I'm just barely getting started with the interior so I don't have many answers for that just yet. The main thing with the dash is getting it trimmed just enough to make it fit and then see where you need to "fine trim" a little more. It's ok to use self tapping screws to temporarily hold things in place but you'll want to come up with better ways to do the permanent fastening.

Amazing video! Are the front wheels too far forward in the fender, or is that an adjustment that gets made later in the build?
@latenightdiy1496
@latenightdiy1496 Жыл бұрын
Yes the factory wheels are only temporary. I have to order specific offset 22 inch wheels that are meant to fit this body.

wheel placement in fender - worth the effort. ... nothing screams bad DIY kit car on any brand like bad wheel placement

I think there’s another Nissan car that’s the equivalent to a G35. I want to say it’s a “350” ...something but I can’t remember.

Honest opinion. Is the quality of the kit worth the money?
@latenightdiy1496
@latenightdiy1496 Жыл бұрын
Good question and here’s the way I look at it. Keep in mind, I am a licensed A/P aircraft mechanic with years of composite experience and training. That being said I’d give it an overall rating of 7 out of 10. The areas to be painted are pretty well covered with gel coat and pretty straight/smooth, from what I can tell so far. There are the occasional bubbles/voids here and there that you’ll have to dig out and add some resin/flocks filler, but it could be worse. As far as the overall quality of construction, I would like to see a little bit more consistency in the material thickness throughout some of the parts, and maybe more woven cloth rather than chop mat but they still use at least a layer or two of woven from what I’ve seen on most pieces. I have had to repair a few cracks/tears but those seem to be more related to packing/transport rather than construction. Now to fully answer your question here’s my take on it. Yes, it is worth the money. Maybe not so much the quality of the initial kit construction but to me, this is the coolest looking car I’ve ever seen and what you’re paying for is the ability to build this car. You’re paying for them to basically give you a great head start in owning one of these bad ass cars. You’re not paying for perfect parts to just put this car together easily. If that were the case, The cost of the kit would obviously be a lot more but I think at the current price, it’s worth paying that just to give yourself the ability to put in the work and figure this thing out. Hope this helps!

very solid - I have built fiberglass cars in past. . . this is waaaay better, fit form and function. they added steel into the fiber layers in many spots but some where still needed, also we beefed up the roll cage a bit. After building 2 daily driver vaydors - it better to go ahead and add few more layers of glass around the headlight areas + undercoating as they are prone to cracking after putting miles on around town hitting bump and pot holes and construction areas. . . . but still better than most kit cars MNFR as they seem all crack right at the windshiled pillars / meets the body. I have not seen that on any vaydor.
