That’s understandable. For us it was about speed and quality. This building is beautiful and it only took a month and a half from ground breaking to a sealed up structure. Most DIY projects like that can last sometimes years

I have something similiar I got from Home Depot with flooring. My only issue is my tool boxes with wheels cannot move on this. It was even harder to get the big tool boxes moved into place with this flooring down and starting to bunch up.

I think the brand I got allows stuff to Still roll on it while still giving some grip in case it gets wet

Came across your channel by the chance of the Google algorithm! Nice looking shop, I just had my 30x40 go up the other week in North Lakeland. Seemed to take forever! Do you have a link etc for the powder coating equipment people. I can't seem to find them on Google. I need a new spray booth for my shop and am feeling lazy! :)

Only rebar in the footings ? None in the main slab or at least mesh?
@CertifiedRippers3 ай бұрын
@@Grimmjaw187 the modern day technology in concrete is crazy. It’s got characteristics like fiber. They actually only needed to use rebar in the footings to pass code.

I’m jealous you’re in a place with no frost! A slab is major excavation work in my area! Looks great tho stoked for what’s to come. Side bar your brother is a shredder! What brand steel building is that? I’ve been looking into a steel building for my garage/“shop”

Are the doors installed inside out? Shouldn’t the hinge pins be inside or am I missing something?
@CertifiedRippers4 ай бұрын
The doors are just hung to be outward swinging. We figured this would be best to conserve space.

Use MC connectors going into the panel, you don't want MC sheathing inside a panel like that.
@CertifiedRippers4 ай бұрын
We are gonna change it soon. I’m gonna run conduit up the wall
@AwesomeFinish4 ай бұрын
The MC connectors were twice the price of these basic clamps. The electrical inspections were already done so I used the basic clamps. The MC sheathing is pretty far away from any live contacts so it'll be fine.

Compressor should be closer to the main box. I found outthe hard way. Let the smoke out of the motor
@AwesomeFinish2 ай бұрын
That's ridiculous. If that were true every single heavy draw device would be lined up next to every breaker panel in the world.
@anytractorman2 ай бұрын
@@AwesomeFinishok its not true i paid $400 for a new motor just for the fun of it.
@AwesomeFinish2 ай бұрын
@@anytractorman maybe you had a bad motor from the start? Lol.
@anytractorman2 ай бұрын
Whatever you say. All i know is the compressor never has a issue anymore closer to the panel. Less drop. Being a kellogg american compressor with 3 belts with a 7.5 motor that can jam out 125psi all day long it isnt a home depot compressor.

Should be without all the wire mesh. Not sure how it will hold with the lift.
@KenMileyJr4 ай бұрын
The slab was done by the book. 3000 psi concrete. It doesn't need rebar throughout, just the footings.
@KenMileyJr4 ай бұрын
@@charlielim6799 The lifts have extra deep footings below them. 8" nominal. The lift instructions call for at least 4" of 3000 psi concrete. We are good on that.
