Building outside my Style | Making a Tea Cart

Building a tea cart, or you could use it as a bar cart, in not my style, but that's a good thing. Breaking out of the mold and doing something different gives us new ideas and sparks our creativity. Plus I got to do some French Polishing which is hands down my favorite finish.

Beautiful project and I respect staying true to your clients dream of wooden wheels. Btw ppl, it takes Years of slowly accumulating tools, techniques and skills! I started out with rusty stuff from my Grandfather that haven’t been the easiest to use nor efficient but I have slowly added new, better tools and yes the investment is expensive (I’m not rich and have had to sacrifice other things to collect) but then again it’s a commitment with woodworking like he’s doing! He’s not pocket holing some cabinets together that Home Depot ripped the ply for and then ending his project list. This is his passion and something he’s worked hard for so if you’re into similar, long term woodworking goals then take it one tool at a time and pick projects that are achievable!!! I have to do the same and that’s the normal way of getting into this field.

Definitely is the way into it to slowly build over time. A lot of my tools are like yours, hand-me-downs, but tools are tools. Thanks for your comment and support! Glad you enjoyed the project.

Hi Keaton, This video deserves more views! Love how you did the wheels and the overall design is great. I remember making tea carts in the family furniture factory back in the 1980s when tea carts were popular. They are due for a resurgence I reckon. Regards James One Handed Maker
