for that emergency stop you should put a 3 second timer and a button in the cab that cancels it and a warning as a counter to people messing with you ;)

It's smart, but in my experience it's not on locomotives in reality. And for example, when shunting 10 meters away from another car, it is quite important whether the locomotive starts braking in 3 seconds or immediately. But in Stormworks, of course, it doesn't matter :) Maty from the moderation team

Also some rail cars have throttle they are given a very funny name slugs for their looks they are simply concrete bricks with electronic motors they do come air brakes so adding a throttle for the rail cars would be needed for slugs just some thing you guys may consider also slugs are not as heavy as a full size train

If the train can never leave the tracks then how do trains derail? Perhaps there is a way to leave the track.

I don't know why that guy suggested a generator car on the discord. Locomotives themselves are giant generators and you could literally just hook up an electric anchor to the train and take power from the train.

Correct, especially my locomotives have generator mode! But I can understand if you leave the car on a siding by itself it can serve as a generator!
