Pick Up Limes cooking your recipes. Or recipes in general. Always afraid it would be inedible. I am a new subscriber and new to cooking. Tried out 3 pick up limes recipe. Ate them all. Were very good. Grocery shopping is scary to me since I had to ask many of the grocers what many of the ingredients are. Lost 7 lbs from cooking for myself. Not intentional but feel better about making my own meals.

As a single dad to a fourteen year old daughter, I want to thank you for your videos. You are the strong and POSITIVE female roll model that she always needed in her life. And she absolutely adores you. After years of emotional abuse from her mother, she is deeply wounded and sees you as a beacon of hope. I am here for her everyday with love, patience, and understanding. But you epitomize the woman she needed in her life rather than the one she had. Again, thank you. You mean a lot to my little girl. From one who doesn't have confidence Confidence comes from being comfortable in your own skin. It comes when you 'can' smile like you do. Your smile comes from a place of self-acceptance, from a place of satisfaction of where you are right now, with the hope of where you'll be. Did you work for that smile? Or were you born with it? You smile with your eyes and I bet your heart too. ... Some tears later... Confidence comes when you just be instead of trying to be. Confidence comes when you accept yourself as you are.. as raw as you are. Confidence comes when you realise that one person accepts, acknowledges and appreciates your being. It is heaven if that is person is yourself. ... You're blessed more than you know and I hope you remember that when you're feeling low. Lots of Love) To you and The one who reads it.

@@iwua37 I studied the most in my family. I am not a very smart student but when I try I do get by with hard work. I have a good job, and they do not as they just gave more importance to their looks. My confidence was low because I was not the best looking due to my dark colour and they did make it a point to tell me that I am the darkest which indirectly mean not beautiful. Knowledge is power and I got above them and got my confidence by learning things. I would suggest do not be afraid of making mistakes and try to ignore them. Increase your knowledge because knowledge will build up your confidence. Also, I would suggest whenever possible go and volunteer. Volunteering taught me so much and also boasted my confidence. It is a win-win situation because you give and you get ten folds. Good Luck to you.

One thing that works well for me in building up confidence, is to revisit previous projects/work I've done. It is so easy for us to constantly raise the bar for what is the standard, that we overlook how much we have grown. Revisiting old work helps realise, that what we can do today, we may only have dreamed about one year ago. Thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing these lovely videos.

I went through a period at work where I was in a new position at the same company and I was the newest one on the team. Everyone was super nice but I just felt like I'd never be as good as those people, and they all must do the job so easily and I was surely the only one that was struggling. For reference, I work in software deployment for a multinational software company. I work with 6 or 7 clients at a time to set up their software, understand their business needs, etc. A few things that helped me to gain confidence: 1. As Sadia said, just practice helped immensely. Finding answers on my own instead of running to a teammate first gave me a sense of accomplishment. 2. Basically jumping off the deep end and realizing that hey, I'm likeable - my customers like me, and realizing they didn't expect me to have every answer to every off the wall question they had. Learning to be honest and say, "You know what? I'm not 100% sure, but let me research that and get back to you by tomorrow. 3. Honestly, hearing from the more tenured members of the team that they get nervous too. Knowing that I wasn't alone in my pre-meeting jitters, and that they go through the same struggles, helped me. 4. Finally, and probably the biggest one - soon, I wasn't the newest on the team anymore. And I was expected to help the newer team members. Helping to answer their questions and teaching them how to do things made me realize how much I DID know, taking away my usual focus on how much I still didn't know. Not sure if this will help anyone, but I'm happy to say I'm totally over it and feel very confident at work now. 😊 Great video as always.

Also I request you to make a video to overcome Inferiority complex as many faces this issue in some point of time in their life.

It also matters what kind of competence you build I think. One year of military service left me with a lot more confidence than 3 years of high school for example. It focused more on life-skills, cooperation and being independent I guess. Also work experience (practical) seems to help more than school (university) for me confidence wise. Maybe that says more about our education system than anything else though.

Slowly slotting it into my schedule, being present. That's why your phrase speaks to me. "We over estimate what we can do in a day. We underestimate what we can do in a life time." It is important to take that moment out of the day and reset your mind away from grinding down and toward self appreciation, something I think we do far too little. Thank you so much.
