Building Tamiya 1/24 Mini Cooper scale model car Full build step by step customization MOD kit ASMR

This project is to make a one-off all black Morris Mini Cooper restomod.
I wanted to keep it classic stock look exterior but with some hardcore rally car parts added.
The interior is pretty much stock tan leather interior as well but with some rally car goodies like extra guages and switches,
color matched roll bar.
The seats were very plain looking so I added some pipings, seat adjustable levers and seat belt details on the seat.
This Tamiya Mini kit has detachable roof panel and I left it unglued so the interior can be displayed with the roof open.
The suspension was lowered to give agressive restomod stance.

Really nice job, well done! It's a nice feature that the roof is a separate part so you can look inside. It would make painting it a different colour easier too. The Fujimi which I built it's all moulded together.

I was expecting ultra expensive tools, airbrush for 1000$ and other high tech stuff but tools you used were reasonable priced and for painting you were using spray and brush. Even tho your build looks 12/10 to be honest. Well made sir.

too bad you added the rollcage. This is not a feature on a regular Mini ... although it should have been. BTW, consider getting the Monte Carlo Mini (177) myself... but it is priced at over 200 USD here in China. Wanted to make the car like the one I owned ... so this seriously inspires.

I got mine like 10 years ago😂 These Minis are pretty old kits so I don't think any stores would have them. There are some on Ebay but the prices aren't cheap😓

Beautiful work! Just curious, what type of paint brushes do you use? The tips seem to be nice a pointed and not frayed. I've ordered dozens from Amazon and none of them keep their point.
