Really love that SNOT technique for the terrain. I would love to see more of a breakdown for that if you do more as using the plates and various wedges looks awesome. Keep up the great building!

@@1by1BrickIn all honesty I wouldn’t mind the vids beings a couple minutes longer if you could stand still with the actual building too. We’re shown the end result too fast sometimes, we want to see how you did it in detail too.

I did demonstrated things slower during the blacksmith diorama series and had comments about being too slow, quite difficult to strike a balance, check out that series and let me know if that was too fast or too slow

This is outstanding! It's great to know you are a free builder and do it by trial and error. I have a lot of ideas in my head about how I want my creations to look. I tried using the building software but it's so much easier to "just do it". I'm no where near the builder you are. I don't have techniques down or tricks to use. I'm learning by watching the awesome builds from creators like yourself. THANK YOU for putting videos up so folks like myself can learn.

I enjoyed your video. I am currently working on a D&D campaign using only Lego. Inspired by the recent release of the D&D Red Dragons Tale set. We played through the included campaign and it was very fun. Since then I have been building extra castles, forts, courtyards, a couple of bars and inns, and even a creepy cemetery. I especially enjoyed how you built the bridge. I will try to incorporate something similar to one of my builds. Just subscribed to see how much progress you have made. Looks great so far.

Looking good..... can i suggest you raise the castle up by one brick... the back of the castle with the green plates going straight onto the water looks a little odd
@1by1Brick29 күн бұрын
I think it would be easier to swap out the plates, raising it by 1 brick will create new issues at the frontside. Not sure if ill do it though since my aim was to make as little change to the sets as possible to showcase them but those plates do bother me as well 😅

Yeah i agree but my aim is to create a diorama for the sets so i wanted to make as little change to the sets as possible, I’ll probably detail it abit more, add some rocks on top of the greens since it does bother me aswell 😅

Can you explain why you place down 2x2 tiles and then large plates over the top of your terrain foundation? Around 1:11 you start doing it. Why do you put the 2x2 tiles down and not just the plates down on top of the pinky/white foundation parts? I hope I make sense
@1by1Brick29 күн бұрын
When large plates are connected to large plates, separating them is very difficult those smaller “buffer” plates are so i can insert the brick separator under to pop off the 8 x 16 plates
@Lumpyrox141229 күн бұрын
@@1by1Brick So in short, it’s so you can disassemble the build easier after you’re done with it? Does doing it that way create any height challenges with terrain?
@1by1Brick29 күн бұрын
Not really since the technic brick is 1 brick and 1 plate height, adding the buffer plate and top plate turns it into a 2 brick height total. If anything this makes height calculations easier imo

¡Hola! ¿Me podrías decir o indicar que piezas son esas columnas que usas al principio del video para que el terreno coja altura? Siempre me llama la atención el poder hacer "estructuras" elevadas en lego pero no sé cuál es la mejor manera para ello, de economizar en piezas.
@1by1Brick25 күн бұрын
Item number 91176 and 95347 i usually buy colorful ones and used since its cheaper, but you need to mix it with brick build columns of either 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 bricks since these pieces on their own are not stable enough, if you look carefully i built multiple types of columns to work together
