Looks awesome, thanks for the build. I'm building my first Stuka model, same kit. Didn't fit at the wing/fuselage joint for me, and I had to sand about a half mm. So I didn't need any filler. It's a super cheap kit, what else do you want, lol. It definitely takes some creativity to get this kit good. Biggest problem with this kit: No post holes for the gun pods. I just cut the nubs off and glued it to the pads where the holes should have been! once you put the wing/pod interface pieces on, it becomes obvious. They do tilt a certain way so keep left/right...right? Yeah, I'm dreading the canopy mask!

Looks great next mouth I am going to have to try to order those swastika decals I have a lot of German aircraft that don't have them. I use to build balsa wood aircraft but I went into insulin shock chasing them. Found some old plastic aircraft and now I am back.

Surprised to hear you rave about model master acrylics. I bought a bunch when they were clearanced and absolutely hate them. Cannot get them to spray consistently at all. Some colors work okay, especially for small bits, like green zinc chromate for cockpits. But other colors clog instantly or speckle or have other issues no matter what I tried. Every thinning ratio, spray pressure, and needle size imaginable. If I have to spray it for more than about 15 seconds I refuse to use it. No consistency, constant problems. I gave up on them and cashed out on Mr Color paints.
@Drewsmodels2 жыл бұрын
They always worked for me. I used Tamiya X-20 to thin them. You can’t go wrong with Mr. Color though. I don’t have a good ventilation system to use lacquers. I really like Vallejo Model Air and Tamiya acrylics. Take care!
@mynock50122 жыл бұрын
@@Drewsmodels I guess I just suck. I can't get anything other than lacquers to work consistently. Maybe one day I'll be good at this hobby, but that day is not today.
@Drewsmodels2 жыл бұрын
@@mynock5012 Just keep going! If lacquers work well for you, stick with them. If you have a model that you didn’t finish or hate, use it as a ‘test mule’ to experiment with different brands and airbrush techniques etc. I still make a lot of mistakes and screw- ups. I just try to learn from them and move on. Don’t give up!!
@trevoratchison3904 Жыл бұрын
Painting goes by how the weather is, airbrushg is a long slow process you never stop learning. I always practice spraying on a piece of plastic core flute. Plus watching other builders spray paint. Have fun

Why IS there never a Swastika decal For the rudder in the Kits ? Whatever happened to historical accuracy ??
@Drewsmodels7 ай бұрын
Swastikas are banned in some EU countries, so some model manufacturers don’t include them. Companies like Eduard will split them in half on the decal sheet to get around that! Thanks for watching! Drew
