Building the Bridge of Lords! 👑 Minecraft Timelapse - Medieval Bridge with Statues

Welcome to Dreyunterra, our Medieval Kingdom Minecraft Timelapse series where we build an entire fantasy world, episode by episode!
Today we built the Bridge of Lords, a giant bridge spanning between two giant plateaus. Along with some gatehouses and landscaping underneath it, we create an incredible entryway to what will eventually be the Foelworn Stronghold. This is one of my most detail builds yet! Hope you enjoy!

I am blown away again! The bridge is nothing short of a work of art. It didn't even register in my brain that it was built at an angle until you mentioned it.. it flows so well, and feels so natural! My heart lies in the details that you continue to add to your builds. Little hings like the pulley systems in the gate house that are then covered up by the build. The level of care you gave to a stairwell (which I loved!) just shows how you consider every aspect. I really enjoyed most of all the asymmetrical gatehouse build. With castle structures, it is sooo easy to want to make things symmetrical, but boy that gatehouse design works so well in the terrain!!🤩 I could go on.. LOL

Honored you caught those details! I cannot bring myself to build empty shells of buildings, so I fill it with what makes sense and could theoretically function. I want my world to be lived in, not just art, haha. Hopefully the rest of the castle will follow suit in style! It'll be a huge challenge, but I am looking forward to it!

@@jakekeltoncrafts life is pretty good. Not had too much time to make longer gameplay videos but that’s okay. Our son just turned one year old recently so that has been really fun and life keeps getting busier but it’s good. How is life with you?

Building Tip: Concrete power is a great block for adding texture and comes in a large number of colors! Used dark gray, gray, and light gray powder in this build. If you need it to float somewhere, just add a piece of string under it before placing the block!

I am late this time, but I just wanted to add a comment, too: It's amazing as always... no, even more so! The bridge is such a great backdrop, but also close-up it looks so good, with all the details, the statues, of course... and the timelapses were beautiful as well - but what I loved most is the cinematics at the end, the atmosphere, the music... and the history of the place! 🙂

No such thing as late! Haha. How goes your 360 videos? Haven't messed with them myself but one day I'm going to watch one using my Metaquest VR headset! No idea how you even make it!

@@jakekeltoncrafts They are going well, thank you ^^ Could always be better, of course, but I'M not complaining... You can do them with ReplayMod as well, you just have to select Equirectangular Rendering and bring some time ^^ (And read the ReplayMod documentation about the options and adding metadata afterwards.) I guess it would look cool with a VR headset, even tho it's not really VR (but you can even do that with ReplayMod - it renders it as 360°+3D then). I should try one sometime, I just don't have the possibility to watch it properly...

@@jakekeltoncrafts I made one, feel free to give it a try (not sure if you allow links in comments... it's my newest video). Sadly, ReplayMod can't use OptiFIne/Iris shaders for it because it uses shaders for the render calculation itself. It also crashes at higher resolutions, so the result is not that good... but maybe it still kind of works 🙂
