I really enjoy your work. A small point. Camel saddles sometimes don’t meet in the middle but are two wooden parts , held together with leather straps. The straps allow adjustment for different shaped camels. On top is usually a leather cushion to make it comfortable for the rider. But from the front you can often see the gap. Not that I’m bothered. What I really like about your videos is that you show that it’s possible for to get good results for little money.

@@ModelMinutes Hi Mat...what would be the best way to remove decals?...i really dont want to scrape them off and ruin the paint job...i have a rusdian Mig- 23 and want to change it to an Iranian example to depict 1 of the several former Iraqi Airforce machines that fled to Iran and were then pressed into service with the Iranian Airforce when desert storm kicked off. Thanks.👍
@ModelMinutes2 жыл бұрын
@@damien5748 sadly the methods I know of which will remove the decals (ipa, spirits) will also possibly remove the paint underneath. Especially difficult if the decals have been sealed in with some varnish
@damien57482 жыл бұрын
@@ModelMinutes hi Mat.thanks for the reply...i suppose i could gently scrape them off and do a little touch up...shouldnt be too hard as they are not sealed with varnish and its an academy kit so the decals arent the best anyway👍👍.

@@ModelMinutes got it sorted Mat...scrapped them off using my finger nail...each decal came off in 1 piece and no damage done to the paint job....happy days.

Great job Matt! Nice to see the variation.. same techniques though of course :) TBH I think the uniform is a /little/ dark as troops in the Western Desert wore sand coloured uniforms not khaki, closer to the colour you did the camel..

great job especially on the skin zenithal really does help on getting those highlights and shadows picked out. one thing you could also try with skin after the zenithal doing a under coat of a dark red then going with the skin colors to simulate the kind of red/pinkyness you see in skin. Doctor Faust has a couple of good vids on it that break down the process
@ModelMinutes2 жыл бұрын

Not a bad job at all Matt, who say's first timers can't get it right? Looking at the camel rider, he bears a strong resemblance to T. E Lawrence, that alone ad's more possibilities to what's a cool little kit.
