Lovely video as usual! New hives look beautiful! So interesting how reliant they are on their built in gps to locate their hives. I think you would enjoy seeing the Vino Farm channel’s bee keeping series - very well done, informative and he is fastidious like you are in design and maintenance.

I lived next to a beekeeper as a child in the 60’s and all of his hives were white. 😊

Painting the bee hives doesn’t upset the bee’s as far as i’m aware, in commercial bee keeping with lots of hives painting them in different colours supposedly helps them locate their one easier. What does upset the bee’s would be me sticking my hands in their home every week i’m not a welcomed visitor even though we’re there to help assist with the colony’s health i’m sure they’d rather we let them crack on unattended, hence the bee suit.
