Not discontinued, they just stopped the current run, they usually do a fresh run of these every year or two.

Smashed thumb is like a war wound, the scars of battle. Here's what you do for a nail injury that pools blood, you take a very small drill bit, like a 1/16th of an inch and take it in hand and twist it against the center of the nail injury, the center of the blood blister, you twist and turn it until you drill a tiny hole in the nail. Using a power drill is unwise unless you have a means of limiting penetration, you could go right into the bone. Breach the nail in the center of the blood and let a drop out, it will ease the pain instantly and be soothing, then you must wet it to keep it from clogging up again, honey is good for this and put a band aid on it and listen to some Enya music or the Beatle's Twist And Shout and you will be fine. This will minimize pain and the size of the injury.

Thanks for the tip, I was in a foreign country for the first few days of the injury and didn't want to risk a hospital visit when not home, but good news is it has now grown out and my thumb looks normal again, thank you, email me for a free sticker!

You're not cleaning properly. When wiping anything -from this era- using the right hand: counterclockwise = wipe ON & clockwise = wipe OFF ... left hand is the opposite: clockwise = wipe ON & counterclockwise = wipe OFF. There's a similar rule about using a paint bush (I'm bowing btw).
