Building the Ultimate Station Wagon | 2021 Charger Magnum Hellcat | 1000HP Hellwagon | Pt 25

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out a good way to align the Charger subframe to the Trackhawk subframe, while doing so I tried a bunch of different methods. At the end I ended up using a house laser level to align everything which was way less than a 3d scanner but it still ended up with a usable subframe.

Dave you are a creative genius! Most people wouldn't even be able to contemplate such a project! Many years go when I was a young guy I wanted to hot rod a really nice original 34 Ford Pickup that I owned! I thought on the project for 5 years & decided #1 it was way too nice of an original truck for a kid like me to butcher up so I backed off the project, sold the truck & restored another 69 Camaro! Anyhow I have a ton of respect for a Guy like you who can conceptualize the project & get it done! I am thinking there are not too many out there who could even think about doing what your doing! Oh Hell Yea!! Really diggin this project, this wagon is gonna be such a beast of a car! Have a question/suggestion, have you thought about notching the engine oil pan? Modding that oil pan should be much cheaper than gathering up all the parts needed to make that engine accept a dry sump system. Just thinkin an old school fix might be the way to go to keep expenses down. Keep up the great content Dave, Super Job!

There are 3D scanner apps for smart phones now, how useful they are I don't know yet. I'm not sure if it matters with CV joints but driveshafts need an offset to prevent vibration etc

I think you should keep it rear wheel drive I'm not a fan off all wheel drive cars yes they are safer in wet conditions but how are goi g to light the back wheels up and do great burnouts

Dave, I've got a question for you. Back in the day, Mopar engines were offset to the passenger side by a little bit. It helped make a little extra room for the brake booster and steering box and the driver's weight usually compensated for the offset weight. Does Chrysler/Dodge still do that? Would it be beneficial in your build? Of course the rear differential and half shafts would need to set up with that offset.

Hey Dave, when you finish the drivers floor will your front right seat rail have to be relocated? I mean will you have to make a new seat rail? Also when the gas pedal is back in will the side of your foot or your ankle be forcing your foot away from being centre of the pedal because of the new metal on the trans tunnel? Just trying to understand if this will be mildly uncomfortable to drive once the tunnel s complete?
