i use a fairly firm grip when i swing because i feel it helps me load the body and the shaft better and unload the spring in the shaft coming down and i like to keep the face more square to the arc throughout.

Your videos really resonate with me. I understand what you are saying about having the proper tension when you are playing. Here is my issue: If you look at the swings you took where you stop quickly, it appears you are holding off the club and not completely releasing it. For me, I bounce around between keeping a tight core and some tension to give structure and then playing to loosely. When I have the core tension, impact is extremely solid. However over time with this swing I tend to de-loft my clubs and hit the ball too low. So, I loosen up and play with as little arm tension as possible. This elevates my ball flight height but over time I then start to lose quality of contact and perhaps, if there is such a thing, I over release the club. At any rate, it would be awesome if you could do a video on how to find the balance between the two or simply tell me how to consistently find that point between playing with too much tension and playing too loosely. Thanks you.

Thanks for the comment and I completely understand where you are coming from! There are ways to add vertical forces to the swing as well that will add height while maintaining stability. I’d also say I don’t believe in holding off the club face ever. Not twisting the grip would be the more common problem I see out of a release pattern.
