I just sat here and watched all your videos on this 426 all I can say is I learned more than I expected to for sure. Seriously thanks for sharing your wisdom I know I appreciated your time. I actually ran into your video trying to research what to have done to an engine at the machine shop. Im fixing to take my 392 Gen III Hemi to a machine shop and was curious to know how to find a good machine shop along with what to have done. I learned a bit from you already! Thanks.

Well, this old Mopar guy just enjoyed the entire series you've produced and posted here, sir. Thanks! I haven't had hemi-type money to spend on one in decades now, but I do still have my 440 GTX and some late-model "not a real hemi's" around. Thanks again, hope you do more of this sort of thing and God bless. - Ed on the Ridge

Glad you enjoyed it. If I can get some more parts in here I will get it done.

Great build, Rick! Excited to see it in action! Call me when you break it in. I’d love to video it.

Will do. But it will probably be awhile before I get my test run stand built.

After I saw what you went through on this block, I decided to stick with my 440

It’s probably worse than I’m showing. I’m working with unlimited tools and machines and a large parts hoard. I can’t imagine a normal person getting all this done. Thanks for watching.

@@rickseeman5679 I appreciate the work you do, I would be more inclined to find an old Mopar block for my retirement engine if possible

@@turbomike71 There are reasonable price 400/440’s out there. You’ll find one. Tell your friends to keep an eye out for you.

Wow, that's amazing that you would still prefer 1965 head gaskets. Very interesting stuff. My dad's a hot rodder from the '60s, I'm going to ask him again about breaking in cams
@rickseeman5679 Жыл бұрын
He’s going to scratch his head and wonder what in the world you are talking about. There is no such thing as “breaking in a cam”. That is something that cam manufacturers say is the reason their junk cam/lifters failed. Thanks for watching.

@@rickseeman5679 quick fact. My dad worked at Dodge Main in 1964 and he watched those Max wedge and hemi race cars get built on the assembly line. He knows everything about Dodge Main it's his favorite topic.

How did you get them edelbrock heads I ordered mine late October last year and I check my porch every day. Still no no heads!
@rickseeman5679 Жыл бұрын
They have gone up a little but for new aluminum heads that flow over 400cfm, they are still a bargain.

I talked to one guy that has had his on order for 2 years. So sad.

I got my heads from Summit, this was when Edelbrock was changing hands and closing califorina operations, they must have been blowing out inventory before their sale...2019 Black friday sale is when i got them...shit i could almost double my $$$ dumping them today..

Do you have the part numbers for the retainers and keepers you used I ordered my edelbrock heads without the springs, retainers, and keepers? PS I enjoy your videos I am learning a lot!
@rickseeman5679 Жыл бұрын
I ordered these complete so I didn’t get part numbers but you would want the to match the cam and lifters that you are using.

I tried to watch, but you just can’t get to the point. Too long winded and just refuse to get to the build.
