@@DimT670 I mean, the basis for the fad does have a kernel of truth to it - basically a nutritionist was looking into why Inuit communities up near the arctic dont suffer from malnutrition despite eating an almost pure meat diet of seals and fish, and found that while the body prefers to metabolize glucose, if you run out of carbohydrate reserves, it instead starts metabolizing ketone (hence keto diet), which requires more initial energy to process, thus meaning less fat gets stored with the same amount of intake. Of course, meat is much higher density energy than grains and sugar, so most of the reported results are due to the weight loss that always happens when you suddenly make drastic changes to your day to day diet.
