BUILT ON A FRIDAY - New Can-Am Maverick R Needs Improvements!

Our brand new Can-Am Maverick R was definitely built on a Friday. Despite how incredible the sxs is to drive, we have an entire video also showing all of the problems we found just in the first 24 hours of ownership (not to mention the terrible fit and finish). However, while installing a new Rugged Radio comm system, we've found more issues.

Seeing you guys tear it up in side-by-sides would be fun. I know it would be a pain to film and someone, probably Brittany, would have to be outside on foot constantly changing the camera angle to get footage, but high speed racing like footage would be a lot of fun to watch especially given that you push your machines to their limits. All love what you guys are doing from rock crawling to dune racing to even some over landing. ❤

Cut a slot in the random loose bolt so you can use a flat head to hold it and wrench to tighten it from the same side. Vice grips on the exposed thread works too but yeah..

I wasn't a SxS fan but what's happening in Wisconsin to ORVs will likely have me buy one. Old forestry roads on the National Forests that our Jeep groups have opened up again for use are being closed by the property managers and restricted to ATV/UTV/Snowmobile trail use only so wheeling in our Jeeps is getting less and less possible. I hate to go $30k in debt but it's either get a SxS or stay home.

Get your Jeep clubs together and start lobbying your local governments and land use managers for shared access. ATV/SxS/Snowmobile/Motorcyle groups have way more miles than us in MN too, but we have projects in flight and partnerships with the DNR because we have the Minnesota 4 Wheel Drive Association. Check it out, we have our fair share of WI members too.

Give it time. They’ll reduce the UTV width to 50” like they did/do in Montana. Then eventually it’ll be only dirt bikes followed by mountain bikes followed by hiking only. Fu•king enviro-nazis.

We even have another hurdle that the ATV/UTV are actively working against allowing shared use and the many local chamber of commerce are supporting their efforts since ATV/UTVers bring in so much business to the local merchants that they'll sacrifice what ORVs bring in to get the ATV/UTV $$$. There has been a change in National Forest Mgt staff that aren't fans of ORVs. Doesn't help at all that there's been enough offtrail/ontrail destruction by a small #of ORVs that bolsters their use of a wide brush.

I always love the content, but I have to say, if you want to be able to mess with the radio while driving, just find the ground wire. Normally, the ground wire goes to the E brake in a regular car. If you connect that wire to a normal toggle switch and ground the other end, you'll be able to adjust the radio while driving. You probably don't want to do that on a 50K side-by-side. Just putting it out there. Bro, at least 80 to 90 percent of your lives are on KZbin, keep side by side riding to yourselves. Chris is dope.
