Final video of our Bulgaria travel series, we finish our hiking in the Bulgarian mountains. After this, we go and try some Bulgarian food before a travel day back to Sofia. The food in Bulgaria really surprised us, especially mishmash and shopska salad. Worth a try if you are in Bulgaria. We didn't get a chance to explore Sofia as Emma was sick from our travel day but we loved our time in Bulgaria. It was not what we were expecting but would love to return as it passed all expectations. Bansko, in particular, is a hiking paradise and would love to try it in the ski season.

⭐ About Travel Beans:
Welcome to the official Travel Beans KZbin channel! On this channel, you’ll find a variety of travel and vlog content, in which you’ll see us in places like Thailand, Japan, USA, Slovenia, and more.
In 2017 we left home with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a sustainable travel lifestyle happen! We are now living our dream as digital nomads and want to inspire you to create your own story, whatever it may be!
After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.
Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

I'd strongly recommend against swimming in the lakes of Rila or Pirin mountains. They are protected areas. Not only you will be facing dislikes bordering with disgust from people around you, but perhaps even reported and fined by the gov. The places you've been are pristine and beautiful, because people actually care not to trash them . Although the commy generation of people were trashy, Bulgarians have always had great respect of nature and its beauty.

The other "salad" you called it with the roasted red peppers is actually not a salad but a breakfast/lunch/dinner meal called "Mishmash" and it is basically our version of scrambled eggs, but much better :D

Love the new video, Beans! We never realized that Bulgaria is so beautiful! Charlie is a wilderness survival educator and a certified tracker. As far as that scat goes, we think you are lookin' at some horse poo. Don't be discouraged, though, because horse scat and bear scat can commonly be mistaken due to the frequent grass content in bear scat. There are outlying situations of course, but for bear scat, you should look for what we like to call an, "amorphous pile" with relatively poor digestion--you can clearly see precisely what the bear was eating, because much of it is still intact. Thanks for the new video! We'll be waiting for more! -Charlie and Lexie

Such a beautiful place guys and it did look so tempting to swim in that lake. Can't beat the lack of people and the tranquility. Really love the way you're presenting these Vlogs and especially the reward at the end🍻😁. Bye the way loved the music, where do you get your music? It's actually forbidden to swim in that lake and you may be fined, if you do swim in it. Bear Grylls swam into one of the Seven Rila Lakes and ate a frog, he filmed it all and was fined 5000 BGN, which is €~2500.

What if Alex put the BEAN I mean the bun in the oven ? Seriously Emma, you should do a pregnancy test and make a video to share the result with us since I think that much motion sickness is not normal combining with fatigue and constant tiredness would be a good idea.

Since you were asking for some underrated travel locations I can, in general, recommend Thuringia in Germany. There are loads of beautiful forests and nature and hikes. Especially the "Thuringian Forest" which is a mountain range including Germany's oldest long-distance trail "Rennsteig" on the ridge. Many of the towns around there also have quite nice buildings, and make a good starting point for the hikes, e.g. Tambach-Dietharz or Schmalkalden. As interesting cities with amazing nature around I could also recommend Jena and Eisenach, which are not too far away.

I don't believe that Pom Bear is sold in the US, at least I've never seen it but it might be available in some specialty import stores that carry foods/snacks from other countries (of course it is available from Amazon...with free shipping from England no less!). I had to look up what you meant by moreish. To be honest I originally looked up moorish because I was already aware of that word but thought maybe it had another meaning in England. Vocabulary, natural wonders, food and poo...your videos are so educational!

We use the word morish a lot in the UK, it's a great word! That's interesting to hear that it's not so commonly used in the US.. Thanks so much for the comment and for watching! :D

Hi rothoveb! You can find the Pom Bear snack in many grocery stores around Chicago. There are different flavors as well, such as ketchup, sour cream & onion. My favorite one is with cheese and I have only found it in Malincho Euro Market. They also offer online shopping within the U.S., so I believe you can order if you want to try it. ;)
