Genuine question, from your perspective of health. What do you say to people who try to say that Covid wasn’t real? You must have some good comebacks.

Several years ago, my 44-year-old daughter was diagnosed with a fractured spondylar. We had a great chiropractor at that time. He said it either happened when I gave birth to her or when she gave birth to her 2 children. He advised her to never have another one as she could end up in a wheelchair. I have a lot of back problems also, but of course I am more concerned about her. Yes, it is miserable!

My husband had to have a cadaver disc put in his neck and he had to have a total rebuild of one of his discs in his back and he had two metal rods and six screws in there. It was affecting his hips and it still did even after they fixed it

Good evening Dr. Hoeflinger, I hope you are demoing well. I appreciate you and your no nonsense approach to questions about surgery. Ever since I had my right stroke medulla over 10 years ago. I was 53 years young. I’ve had very painful sciatica nerve pain. I’ve done everything except surgery. I’ve had 6 epidurals in my spine over the course of 8 years. The first lasted for over 7 years. The subsequent ones no more than six months. I have resorted to stretchjng, massage therapy, ice packs, and Tylenol. Do you think surgery is a cure all for sciatica?

I had L1-5 fused: three pieces of cadaver bone, two rods, four screws placed in 01/'21. One screw is loose and three veterbrae above the fusion self-fused in a crooked, awful way. More surgery soon to saw them apart, re-set and fix the moving screw. Question for those who've had or are planning to have spinal fusion surgery: Is self-fusing vertebrae, above or below the fusion site, meant to be an expected side effect of spinal fusion surgery? I cannot seem to get an answer to this question... Thank you for your informative answers!

What if the pain stays mainly I. The back and wraps around my hips and front? Is that still a herniated disc?
@pamelabaker30295 ай бұрын
Herniated do not cause pain most of time till you tell patients they have them. Lol. No diff
@aarongodwin58895 ай бұрын
I would debate that you can actually mitigate bulging discs and other spinal issues by always staying fit. Keep as much muscle on your frame as you can so you can stabilize such succeptable areas and joints. Such as your hips, spine, shoulders etc. I am only speaking from what I have been told by my surgeons and doctors at the U of U. By doing this, even though there is orthopedic damage, you can help stave off invasive surgeries and who knows there may be a better way stop correct and repair issues the longer you are able to comfortably wait?

And all are reversible. Sad drs. Tell patients this and they are doomed for life. Lol. Hello. Lots of remedies
