This was a fascinating view into the world of cheap food stuff. Up here in the frigid fridge that is Scandinavia, the price of the meals is basically one step up (cheap to mid, mid to costly, and costly to eating-out-every-day-like-a-trust-fund-kid)
@TheSilverwing999 Жыл бұрын
But we also earn more money so it averages out tbh
@studium- Жыл бұрын
@Line not really? The average full-time position in the UK earns about £29k (after tax), whereas a Norwegian earns on average £30k (after tax). That's not a huge gap.

Never regret watching your content Joe, awesome recipes and so useful to see UK supermarket comparisons! The amount you’ve taught me about nutrition and how to actually apply that has helped me (and I imagine countless others) massively. I’ve also been on your full body training split it’s been unreal in improving my weekly volume and recovery. Really enjoy every session and don’t get savage DOMS 🎉 which really helps with consistency. I’m massively more mobile as well from learning proper form on Bulgarian split squats, thanks to you. Also took your recommendation of following Tom Merrick and that’s been a game changer. Ever improving production value, editing & comedic voiceovers with invaluable information. “Joe Delaney is my hero”

It might be done quite a bit, but the "on a budget" meals are always good to have around, especially when that budget isn't always the gym bro influencer budget for someone that gets paid to be in the gym all day working out. Great seeing that its quite possible to do things with a very limited budget and the realistic expectations being put into the video, and mentioning alternate solutions without making people feel like crap when they aren't making a lot but still are trying to better themselves with their fitness. Another smash video Joe, cheers.

4:27 You got the price per Kg of mince the wrong way round in the video, but I think everyone understood as you said it the right way round. Also the more important message I have to tell you is that "Greek Style Yogurt" actually has less protein than "Greek Yogurt." So if protein is on your mind you might wanna get Greek Yogurt without the "Style," in the name.

The best carbs to eat in the morning are from.... legumes! Also sweet potato, squash, potato, carrot and parsnip are good everyday foods -- starchy so they bring good calories. I stay away from all grains, including rice as they trigger inflammation and neuropathy as we age, especially if you got unlucky with certain genes.
