This was a fascinating view into the world of cheap food stuff. Up here in the frigid fridge that is Scandinavia, the price of the meals is basically one step up (cheap to mid, mid to costly, and costly to eating-out-every-day-like-a-trust-fund-kid)

@Line not really? The average full-time position in the UK earns about £29k (after tax), whereas a Norwegian earns on average £30k (after tax). That's not a huge gap.

Never regret watching your content Joe, awesome recipes and so useful to see UK supermarket comparisons! The amount you’ve taught me about nutrition and how to actually apply that has helped me (and I imagine countless others) massively. I’ve also been on your full body training split it’s been unreal in improving my weekly volume and recovery. Really enjoy every session and don’t get savage DOMS 🎉 which really helps with consistency. I’m massively more mobile as well from learning proper form on Bulgarian split squats, thanks to you. Also took your recommendation of following Tom Merrick and that’s been a game changer. Ever improving production value, editing & comedic voiceovers with invaluable information. “Joe Delaney is my hero”

It might be done quite a bit, but the "on a budget" meals are always good to have around, especially when that budget isn't always the gym bro influencer budget for someone that gets paid to be in the gym all day working out. Great seeing that its quite possible to do things with a very limited budget and the realistic expectations being put into the video, and mentioning alternate solutions without making people feel like crap when they aren't making a lot but still are trying to better themselves with their fitness. Another smash video Joe, cheers.

The best carbs to eat in the morning are from.... legumes! Also sweet potato, squash, potato, carrot and parsnip are good everyday foods -- starchy so they bring good calories. I stay away from all grains, including rice as they trigger inflammation and neuropathy as we age, especially if you got unlucky with certain genes.

Whole milk also helps you get in some extra protein for like penny’s more, also yogurt and fruit like 2 times a day lol 😂 Also food while trying to gain muscle is an investment, remember that x

ok £30 a week on food IS pretty close to what I spend, and I am trying to get into fitness while at the same time trying to be as SKINT AS EFFING POSSIBLE MATE. Mainly saving money thing was to prove to my brother who lives on benefits he doesnt have an excuse not to save. I am AMAZED that you could theoretically spend £140 a week on food... That's kind of mind blowing. I would love to see more videos or compare notes on how to do budgets. Most of my tips are to buy the cheapest price per KG items possible. I also had to do a bit of shopping between Sainsbury's and Tesco's to get the cheaper of both worlds. To my knowledge, Sainsburys sell the cheapest dried beans, Asda do the cheapest nuts, Tescos... just do the best cheapest oats (FOR my preference, not necessarily yours), Tesco also do caged hen eggs, cheaper than anyone elses. My next biggest tip is try to find out when mark downs are done, you can sometimes find items that are too expensive for your £30 budget priced down to a price more affordable to a £30 budget.
