I loved this whiskey. I do not get any nut characteristics, I get more of the butter, leather and slightly burnt brown sugar. There is a weird floral/citrus finish, but for me it was quick and didn't linger. I love Bulleit and this is a great first blend for Ebony. I think she is going to bring a lot of good releases to the brand, so I'm excited to see what she does.

I actually get a weird pink bubble gum note towards the finish. Definitely get some orange citrus on the taste with fruit and brown sugar/cookie batter. I really like this one, but I’m a Bulleit fan so I’m a bit biased 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree on the Four Roses preference, I have tried quite a few times but never fell in love. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer it over a lot of other stuff, but I just don't find myself buying it. I have tried store picks etc, just never been blown away enough to buy again. With that being said, I bought a bottle of this a while back and enjoyed it. Will it be the first bottle I reach for at ~$55, no, but I did enjoy it and the bottle went pretty quick actually.

I picked up a non special blend of Bulleit, since it was less than $30. It was spicy, and while I spent most of my time looking at tasting notes and trying to train my pallet to pick up the flavors, it wasn't bad.
