How convenient for this to pop up for me. I just recently purchased my 1999 323i! Thank you for putting all the parts in the description as well.

Thanks, the magic of editing haha, felt like stuff kept breaking with the shroud then the engine mount and its sheared bolt.

PLEASE don"t put that -plastic outlet pipe- head gasket blowing- head cracking bmw radiator in that car, solid aluminum MISHIMOTO MISHIMOTO and its only 100$ or so more than crap bmw radIATOR, Another tip bimmer world,fan delete kit, lower temp thermostat, lower temp fan switch, and silicone rad hoses, Mercedes c230 1990-1994 coolant tank, I threw e36 engine fans in trash along with the water pumps (kept engine fan on m30) , NO over heating , absolutly no "bleeding of coolant system You can put coolant in tank like a human being, and just drive away, drove my 94 325, 86 miles home from work, put a gallon of coolant in it,-in July- no issue what- so -ever, BMW M50 M52 ENGINES ,Very overheat tolerant, the coolant SYStem SUCKS, Designed to create air bubbles in system, with slightest low level of coolant, (besides the exploding fan AND water pump ,cured by stewart) Now the coolant tank is high point of system, No more blown head gaskets or cracked heads, Coolant air bubbles blow a head QUICK, NO MORE , also no more stripped out bmw overflow tank bleeder screw or radiator drain plug, As an interim measure take bmw coolant tank ,reroute hoses and jam it behind drivers side headlight , hang it from hood like an I.V. bag to fill it, TRUST ME -3 E36S , 154,000, 245,000 AND 295,000 ALL MODDED

@@mnb123240 Don't use mishimoto, use csf or koyo or z3m radiators. You need to run a 4cyl temp switch and thermostat alongside an electric fan setup or use e36 euro diesel fan with e34 clutch if you want to run clutch fan. No fan is not enough cooling unless you only drive car from a to b or live in cold climate. It will overheat if you plan on driving hard or in hotter climate. You also definitely need to bleed the coolant system.

Best upgrade I did to my e36 was swapping to a 1997 528i aluminum thermostat housing which has a bleeder screw aswell.

ooh, that sounds good I would have thrown that in too had I known thanks for adding to the discussion!

@DalyDriverTV yes sir also on the upper radiator hose just use the 97 528i upper radiator hose

Chill ass video… way to prepare the car for boost. I’m in the cafe chilling, wit dat dp… greetings from 2016. Finding a prepared chassis, fixing the engine, then boosting it with upgraded brakes and hydraulics would make a great project and car. Perfect for tuning. Maybe a supercharged system with a wastegate is the best for boost by gear, of maybe boost per RPM by gear?
@DalyDriverTV2 ай бұрын
hell yeah bro, I had been thinking supercharge but with turbos so ubiquitous now that may be the move
@wt2video9222 ай бұрын
@@DalyDriverTV Well if you’re drifting it shouldn’t matter much… you’re going to be high RPM anyway, and you can just use a smaller turbo or supercharger. Keep me updated @

hi Daly Driver. i was just wondering.if you ever had this problem. i have a coolant leak that looks like it my be coming behind the water pump. But i put a new water pump in three years ago and new new thermostat AND New Metal Thermostat housing. but some say it could be the hard Line coolant hose that runs in to the Head. i put coolant Dye in and cannot see where the leak is coming From.i looked at the thermostat and water pump AND Can Not See Any Leaks From There. SO I AM guessing IT could be the hard line hose the runs into the front of the head. AND IT Just leaks out as soon as i put coolant in . i have a 1998 bmw 323is with 216000 that i owned since the year 2000 and nobody has ever but Me and the car Runs great . just can't see where this leak is coming from. IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA Or had This Problem PLEASE LET ME NO. Thank YOU. And love your Videos. 9/1/24

Thanks for watching! Hard for me to say without being able to look at it but maybe it's the o ring on the hard coolant pipe that plugs in on like the backside of the water pump ares. I got a coolant rebuild kit and it came with that o ring, the tube was pretty stuck when I went to pull it out it must get pretty baked and stuck, may also leek if bad.

The real achilles heel of the e36 is the subframe mounts and shock towers made out of paper mache.

I was so happy to peel back the trunk carpet on my 98 to see the giant reinforcement plates welded on from factory, front has em too
@yes-gs2rd Жыл бұрын
@@DalyDriverTV Not too sure about the reinforcement plates being anything from the factory as far as I'm aware but hey as long as it's reinforced that's great haha.

I was looking into getting an E36 how doable do you think most of the mechanical work is for someone who doesnt know much about bmws?
@DalyDriverTV8 ай бұрын
I wasn't a BMW guy before I got this, my first car I learned a bunch on is a Jeep XJ which you can also see a lot of on this channel. I chose it based on check boxes of no turbos, no awd, manual, no convertible. I was also looking at a purple 95 Mustang coupe and a Celica GT-S. I'm really glad I landed with the red e36, the m52 has a timing chain so no timing belts, the worst part is the cooling system. The canister style pump design with an o-ring is actually really easy to service. it's super common worldwide, it's probably the most common pre e46 bmw that makes it easier too with more guides and cheaper parts.
