I usually have mixed feelings when I see a live animal being killed regardless of it being a lion killing something or piranha ripping into a fish,etc but I know that’s how it’s been since the beginning of their creation. I enjoyed seeing that bullfrog being consumed because it ate a pet duck. 😂 They are truly amazing how they devour their prey. I have only 4 reds and only in a 75 gallon tank. I feed them shrimp and carnivore pellets. I wanted to feed live but I don’t like to do many water changes and that looks like you’d need to do almost a 75% change within a day after feeding them. Regardless my piranha are healthy and getting larger every week. They will be a year old this coming Friday and are around 6” or slightly more. Over the past year I’ve watched them evolve and know their personalities and how they interact with themselves and me outside of the tank looking in. Truly enjoyable for me even though no one truly gets it in my family. That’s fine with me. 🤣. Thanks for sharing the videos. If people can’t handle nature and the real world then maybe they should take a long,close look at the daily news and the idiots on social media sites including tictok. ✌🏼

Thank you for commenting my friend. Btw I only change water every 3 months and only 50% flush out.. have no fear feed live and make sure you filtration is up the par.. live plants help a great deal as well..
@Tbug666 Жыл бұрын
@@Bearskimethod Thank you much for the advice. I think people are brainwashed into believing having that levels of ammonia and nitrates especially are going to kill your fish. I can’t speak for every species of fish, but I do know my nitrates are usually around 40 and may be as high as 80 and they seem to be doing fine. Even if I change the water level stay about the same and my ammonia sometimes goes to .50ppm. I’m sure I could go much higher with no issues and that’s what I’ve been doing lately. I can tell they’re healthy by the way they look and the way they act.
@Tbug66611 ай бұрын
@@Bearskimethod I have another question. I understand you change 50% of your aquarium water after 3 months but do you ever test for say ammonia and nitrates? I am sure piranhas can handle higher amounts of these so called “fish killers” than a guppy or some other fragile little species of fish. 🤣 But just wondered if you test water parameters. ✌🏼👍🏼

I dunno .. they piss me off for some reason and I never could put a finger on it.. so when you showed the duckling eater I was kinda all happy that they were going to enjoy the cycle of life also...Be well and safe my friend.. much love and respect as always.
