As an anti-Trump American, all I ask-and this isn’t directed just as you but to all non-Americans who see this-please don’t paint the US with a broad brush, as if we are all crazy Trump supporters. There are two Americas now, and we have been watching the other half descend further into fascism and delusion. Remember that slightly less than half of us are staunchly against Trump, possibly even more so than you, since it is our own country that is being tarnished. Tim - Our vet once told us that male cats are friendlier than female cats, while it's the opposite with dogs. We adopted a neighborhood "stray" cat about 10 years ago and named him "Larry". In August, Larry was diagnosed with terminal lymphoma. Along with our amazing vet, we've been fighting for Larry to feel as well as possible for as long as possible, but a week ago he got to the point where they had to stop treatment. As we wait for Larry to let us know when the time is right, I want to tell you how happy it makes me to hear that you've taken Aretha into your heart. But please consider keeping your cat indoors. Indoor cats live so much longer - and there are horrific dangers in the world for outdoor cats. We let Larry out when we're outside, and he pretty much stays nearby. I hope you and your family get to enjoy a long, happy life with Aretha!

What concerns me is the lack of cohesion that can happen in an organization that requires the ability to share information regardless of one's political persuasions. Instead, such organizations rely on shared values, loyalty to the Constitiution, committment to defending and protecting our democracy. These are large organizations, not small businesses. Information must be shared in the interest of protecting the nation. A leader whose loyalty is elsewhere cannot be trusted.
