The center section on each side between the doors, from below the roof to the bottom looks like an upside down bell 🔔 with handle. That’s really cool.

I was going to suggest cutting an 8-10 inch section out of the rear and using the rear of the van roof. So it came down to a flat like the front. Does. Love this project. Keep up the work.

I went with a 90's van roof that has the ribs below the roof line on my crew cab, sometimes I wish I would have gone with ribs that go up like the roof you used. Either way it blows people away when you show them the roof.
@HalfMoonCustoms

I really wanted to use a panoramic sunroof. We laid the van roof on though and it fit really good. It's a lot of work. The strip down the sides where we used the roof patches was one of my biggest worries on this whole project. The roof makes a bend at that point and the van roof is more rounded off. I didn't want the rounded top on ours.

Whatever running gear that You fellas go with, please consider adding a Gear Vendors overdrive. For 3 grand, You get 3 more gears without a computer. Find one on eBay and save that much more. Can be added to automatic or manual trannys.

That cut off wheel is no joke. But if you are going to use it keep the blade on the outside of your body that way nothing is in the path of flying pieces if it breaks. Also check out Fitzee’s Fabrications he has some great videos on metal working

2:38 i'm pretty sure the copyright system has changed to a region based system so if your content is OK in the US but isn't like china or the UK it'll instead block countries that it infringes to those specific countries than completely removing them with a copyright strike since copyright and fair use differs per country/region. ALSO you can play copyrighted music theres 2 options A).pay the licencing firm that owns the music you like which can range from $12 a month to $25 B). use the YT built in system that takes a part of your revenue Mike Russell did a video on this called "how to use copyrighted material legally on KZbin" hopefully this helps

What year was the donor van? I have a 78 Crew cab I've been working on that needs a roof and haven't found a van roof I thought would match up but that looks perfect!
@HalfMoonCustoms
@HalfMoonCustoms 2 жыл бұрын
It's a 1978 e250 club wagon. The van roof is a flatter profile compared to the truck roof. The truck has a body line that runs down it on the side . I've seen several crewcabs repaired with a van roof by clipping the cab roof off at the pillars, I don't like this method because it changes the roofline and gives it the flatter looks. It's more work to do it the way we are but it retains the stock bodyline the trucks have. We're using the 60inch crewcab roof patch panels that LMC is now selling. These arrived damaged and had to be straightened for us to use. The aforementioned bodyljne is also not in the patch panels. I'm hammer forming that line into these patch panels. There will be more about that process in a later video.
@markmurray2615
@markmurray2615 2 жыл бұрын
@@HalfMoonCustoms Thank you for the response. Love the project and didn't know LMC was selling those now. I'll definitely be ordering some of those patch panels. I've been hand making panels for it so far but would be much easier with some premade panels that are at least close. keep up the good work.

I think there's a certain percentage of copywriten material thats acceptable. It's not played throughout the video and it's not the focus of the video. Testing boundaries wasn't my intention. Just forgot you could hear it while filming. Working in the shop without jams sucks!
