My son is 14 and was just diagnosed officially this last week with right bundle branch block come to find out the doctor said that he's had it since 2019, but due to Covid he believes that the message never got to me needless to say, I'm very upset that we are only finding out Now when we could've been treating if we needed to

I suffered a right branch bundle block 2 years ago and 2 cardiologists say “im too young” and just gave me anxiety pills. They did not give me a cardiac MRI with contrast which would definitely show the scaring your talking about. They both just said many people have that branch blockage with no symptom. I have all the symptoms. I wish someone would listen to me. I’m only 36

Most common symptom of RBBB is palpitation, or the subjective perception of your heart beating against your chest. This is because the left ventricle of the heart contracts first, and then followed by a delayed second contraction by the right ventricle. Normally, we do not the heart beating because our bodies are already used to its movement. However, when 2 separate contractions occur (as in RBBB), then we feel this difference and we complain with palpitation. However, it is also important to mention that not all palpitation is a result of bundle branch blocks, as it may also be caused by some other conditions (like anxiety or acid reflux).

Very. Interesting.just had abnormal ecg. Lbbb. Dr and tech were confused. Went ahead with surgery after they determined it was abnormal no biggy. Dr was telling me my sunken breast bone blah blah. I don’t have sunken breast bone. The Rt breast muscle got effected by herniated disk in my neck which also made my Rt index finger numb but painful also very weird feel. To it. Breast muscle slowly went away. Can’t flex it.. barely. Have to really concentrate to move it all. ECG day finger was shooting plasma out the end felt like. Would this effect ecg reading or give false reading? Nerve damage in neck effected area where ecg lead is attached?

@Dilly Dog Says appreciate the share of knowledge sir, I spoke to the cardiologist and because I have a family history of severe heart disease they just want to keep an eye on it and pretty much do an annual check to see if it progresses. I guess their concern is my EKG showed some inversion of the T waves and abnormal T waves which I guess is indicative of previous heart attack or some type of heart damage even if it's by virus or infection. I'm going in on the 13th for another Holter monitor and a CT scan of my heart for some calcium count. I also do have moderately high cholesterol which is also hereditary so we shall see how it all goes. Thanks again for your feedback and I hope you have a great week.

Hello Had an ECG three weeks ago and they noticed an incomplete RBBB. Saw a cardiologist and she concluded I've got ischemic heart disease just by hearing about my symptoms. Been having chest pains and difficulty breathing while walking, though. Could it be true or it's just somatization disorder at work? Any thoughts, please?

there is nothing else besides the 3 hour contrast stress test or the CT angiogram with contrast. The electrical and plumbing can only be evaluated with the contrast injection. Cardiologist says the lexiscan stress test is 3 hours and the equivalent radiation of "a little bit more than 200 chest xrays". Some websites say it is the equivalent of up to 400 chest xrays. Some studies have shown that you can eliminate some radiation levels immediately by peeing in the middle of the test, and afterward drinking lots of fluids and peeing as often as possible. That's the most I've ever found from asking questions of cardiologists and doing research.

RBBB do not require any intervention, just maintain BP and remove underlined cause . Like hypertension/ myocarditis, PE etc

P wave is not atrial contraction. It is atrial depolarization. The contraction occurs after, somewhere between the P wave and QRS.
