@@dangercat9188 Maybe apps like FB and Insta gave rise to the awareness of Karens, but in the 2000's there was always that 'hockey mom' at the McDonald's demanding her son get what he asked for, blah blah blah. They were very common where I lived anyways (Canada). We used to call them soccer moms/hockey moms. Nobody liked driving vans because that was the signature soccer mom vehicle lol
@crossover56062 жыл бұрын
@@dangercat9188 Nah, Karens were just as demonic in the 2000s and 90s trust me, it just wasn't as noticable since there was little to no social media scene until the 2010s. People always loved taking of the advantage of the "customer is always right" motto, used to deal with this all the time, it was awful, once even witnessed customers throwing cups and change at employees when they didn't get their way, etc. My mom even told me a story back in the very early 2000s of a customer who tried to lift the cash register up so she could throw it at an employee, luckily there were too many wires hooked up to do that. Another customer threatened to slap an employee just because something "costed too much", people could really be crazy. If anything the Karen thing has actually toned down a touch since people these days are more paranoid about being called a Karen, and getting filmed for it, where as people back then could just get away with it without the world knowing about it. I will give you the covid Karens, though that's a bit of a different breed of Karen that's more politically charged.
@damn6718 жыл бұрын
This is what separate MadTV from SNL. Super sarcastic, realistic and they take risk. They prioritize comedy and being funny first than being politically correct. MadTV rip on celebrities (comedically) while SNL kisses their ass.

A few tips: *Listen to the customer. If they know what they want, don't suggest anything. In fact, when I was in fast food years ago, I never suggested something unless I was asked. *Don't offer to combine foods into a meal. Just do it on your own. *No customer is worth losing your job. Essentially, they're a stranger. Don't lose your source of income over a stranger! *Managers are often blind or don't pay attention to have has already occurred, just like this one was not knowing why the "line was out the door." Eventually, you'll have a manager that doesn't know the ins and outs of your job, and it is your responsibility to make sure they know - in a respectful and well-timed manner.
