Bunion surgery recovery - Day 7 of recovery

I just had my left foot done 6 days ago. Did you have to wear a walking boot while you are up and walking?

Renee Lanning Yes, I had to wear the boot anytime any I had to walk. Be careful of the gait will be off balance due to one foot being lower than the other. In other words, try to have the other un-booted foot's shoe to be at a similar height level as the booted foot. I made the error of not doing this and during g physical therapy for the toe I made mention of this to the thearpist expressing pain in my knee. The thearpist explained it a result of an unbalanced walking gait.

i just did mines last month, yes boredom got to me. i napped but worked from bed. how big was your bunion. do you have a before and after ?

I was able to walk on it the same day. I used a cane. I did feel stable to walk with the cane.
