BUNN Speed Brew Elite (CSB2) initial set-up

This is an initial set up for most Bunn coffee machines. I use about a half cup of tap water and the rest distilled water to help prevent calcium and mineral build up in the machine.

How do you empty out the back tank if necessary?

Do you leave the coffee pot ALWAYS on and just add the amt of water each time plus coffee grounds

YES!! Since this one has the glass carafe, it has a hot plate that the carafe sits on. If you have a model with a stainless steel carafe, then that one does not have a hot plate. I leave the main machine on all of the time to keep the water in the back hot. If I leave for more than 2 days, I will shut the whole machine off. Since I have the burner plate in the front because of my glass carafe, I only turn that on when I make coffee to keep the pot hot, then I always turn that one off.

So every time we make coffee we are to do intial setup and then the brew setup?

Nope, just the "Brew Set Up" from here on out! Fill the carafe with water once, lift the fill door at the top of the machine, poor the full carafe water in the fill port, put your carafe back under the machine, close the fill door and it will start brewing. Unless you leave the machine on for over a week without using it which will dry up the back tank, you'll never have to do the initial set-up.

So actually the coffee pot Has to stay on all night and plugged in? And if so is that the only way in order to brew the coffee the coffee pot stays on 24 hours a day I don't understand that one

Yes, you're correct. I drink coffee a lot, so I leave mine on 24hrs a day. Do when I go to make coffee, it's literally coming out instantly. I do turn it off if I'm going to be gone for a couple days, or on vacation. If you do turn it off everyday, the next time you make coffee it's going to take maybe 20 minutes for the water to heat up that's in the back of the tank.

I did because it looks nicer and it was intended to come off, but you can definitely leave it on if you want.

Yes, you can make as many cups that are marked on the pot.

I'm very disappointed. The dumb steps u have to take after spending 200 and no visual line of internal water? Sleepy people who just wake up are not happy with this.
