a couple things I’d like to note! 1. I will be deceasing the amount of pellets from 1/4 cup each to 1/8 cup each. They were right on the weight threshold so I wasn’t sure which one to do originally. 2. I’m going to be getting a large litterbox! that’s good to know! ^_^ a tip regarding litter boxes- bonded bunnies are very much like male guinea pigs with how they behave over litter boxes, and can get extremely territorial over them. if you can, perhaps get a second one of similar size and place them apart from each other so they can have the choice if they do end up in a squabble :D hope everything is going well with cinnamon and waffles btw! oh, and will you be doing themed cages for the buns too? if so I’d love to see it as your themed cages are just *chefs kiss* and they give me so much inspiration!!!

Welcome to Bunny life❤ they are so cute! I have 2 females we bonded and they are such a joy to have. One suggestion is maybe put some memory foam bath mats( watch for chewing) as sometimes carpet if it is low or abrasive it can cause sore hocks

When I adopted my bun, we gave him a much bigger enclosure and he popped all over it (he was previously litter box trained). I put them all in the box and he never did it again. I think he was just claiming his new larger roaming area. I bet they’ll be good in a day or two. Don’t clean the litter box too often until they’re really good about using it. They’re so cute!!

Well done learning and studying rabbits for a year I researched two years before I found Cleo just recently I adopted her husbun this would believe me I told you the rescue bonded them 6 hours when you find a good rescue safes a lot of hassle on Facebook groups in uk could believe it xx

yay! your buns look so happy. from one bun mom to another it would probably make it easier for you and the buns if they either had a larger litter box or two, since you have multiple buns. idk if you’re experiencing any issues but if you do that may help you cause it definitely helped me. good luck your bunnies are beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️

Yes I was going to suggest getting a larger one that they can both fit in at the same time, or just a second box. I actually hang a hay bag over my bun’s litter box and it works great because then she sits in it to eat so all the pee and poo end up in there, and you will waste less hay!

Hey its been awhile, I got my two guinea pig girls about two months ago and three weeks ago one gave birth to two baby boys. I had to give them away sadly but i thought u would tell you :). we got my other pig checked to see if she was female which she was so the other one wouldve been pregnant when we got her. I see you have a plant in the room, make sure it’s not harmful to rabbits. If it drops leaves and one of the bunnies eat it, that may not be good. Good luck with your new babies! My last bunny had his own room and lived to be over 10 years old.

They are much easier to bond when babies. If you get them from the same breeder/shelter they have already encountered eachother multiple times and feel safer and more trust-bendable as babies ❤ I got my holland lop and lion head both as babies on the same day and same facility! They bonded pretty easily 😂 they're names are Luna and orbit. Orbit is the boy lion head, Luna is the girl holland lop. They now love each other and can't be separated. They are my soulmates but they are also eachothers soulmate ❤😂 I love them

Aw that’s so sweet! I’ve heard sibling bonds (same litter) can be very unstable once they reach hormonal age and need to be neutered but I’m glad that wasn’t the case with my Luna & Crow!

My bunny definitely will chew cords but he hasn't destroyed any baseboards or anything. I learned a lot watching bunnyproofing videos on Lennon the Bunny channel. Edit: he also destroyed a book. Also, I'm not sure if yours will be climbers but my ex pen is 3 feet tall and he has escaped !! I walked in to find him laying on my bed, looking like Cleopatra. So now when I put him in his pen at night or when we leave. I have been putting a fitted sheet and securing it with clothespins. Another thing, be sure they absolutely cannot get to any houseplants. I had ZERO experience with rabbits or any small animals when we rescued him after he was abandoned in our neighborhood right before a winter storm that hit Houston last February. I never ever planned to get a bunny but we fell in love with him and he is part of the family now.

@@autumngrace. when we had Mickey for like a week, I didn't know he get on the counter. I walked in to check on him and he was literally on my bathroom counter. He had jumped on a bench and gotten right up there and had eaten like half of a plant! I was on the phone with vets, poison control, etc and he ended up being fine but it was so scary! so yeah, we have no plants in the part of the house he is allowed to free roam in. They can be such characters, and I know you will enjoy them very much!

Just a little tip about the veggies if someone doesn't know and is new to owning bunnies: Kale or any form of cabbage should be introduced very slowly in small amounts to bunnies that never had any of it because bunnies can't pass gas unlike other pets. Cabbage can cause digestive problems and gas build up in their intestines which in the worst case scenario can lead to their death. Kale in particular has a very high amount of calcium which is bad for bunnies kidneys, so if you want to give them kale, give them only small amounts. There are plenty of other veggies that are more suitable for bunnies and have more nutritional value, so don't worry about avoiding kale. Safe cabbage types are for example cauliflower or broccoli. And about the pellets: In germany bunnies usually get no pellets at all, their diet is strictly veggies and wild greens/herbs (and of course hay) because pellets often contain no real nutritional value and are even harmful to their digestive track. Pellets will "blow up"/expand (sorry can't think of another way to describe it) in their stomach which can - like cabbage - cause digestive problems. You can easily test out how much your pellets expand at home: Take one or two pellets and put them in a bowl of (warm) water. Look at it after a couple of minutes to see whether it got bigger or dissolved in the water. If it did, that's what happens in their stomaches which is bad. Let it soak a couple of hours and see the end result. It probably will get worse.

Omg I thought this day would never come I have three rabbit willow who’s a male fluffy who’s a female and Salem willow and fluffy a daughter she’s only three months old and bigger than her parents this was an accident litter as willow when he was five months old he was meant to be a girl and my mam put fluffy and willow together and she was pregnant she had three and the other two got new homes willow is neutered now but I’m still thinking about getting fluffy spayed as she 5 I got her when I was little and Salem will be spayed in February so if you need any advice as I’ve been through a lot with rabbit 😂this year

How long does it take to adopt? And do sign lots of papers?

I adopted my rabbits from an individual rehoming, so there were no papers or anything. If you adopt from a rescue there may be papers, you may have to send photos of your setup & prove you have a vet. But every rescue does this process differently
