He passed away after a respiratory event in 2021 and I miss him every day. He was a very special little bun. He has a headstone out by my beehives and a beautiful columbine growing over his grave.

@@bunhelsingslegacy3549 My Wimpie passed last Oct from respiratory problems as well. She looked very much like Bun Helsing. Its hard when you loose a Bun. I think about them almost every day, Keep me posted on Bun Helsing and i will say a pray for him as well.

sometimes it's like a kid working into a tantrum.... but don't tell him I said so. Most of the time though he'll actively seek out my hand and stick his nose under it for pets, although now he's digging on command for pets (turn an existing behaviour into a training opportunity!)

His incisors were removed before I got him from a rescue, so the worst he could do was gum me, but he'd given up even trying that years ago :)

I'd love to say it's because he's so well trained, but the truth is his incisors were surgically removed before I got him, he had terrible malocclusion (his teeth didn't meet so they didn't wear down properly).

Bun Helsing came to me from the rescue with no incisors, they'd been removed for health reasons, he'd had terrible malocclusion (his teeth didn't meet properly so didn't wear down correctly). I don't recommend this, it's as bad as declawing a cat. The white spotted bunny I have now re-educated me on how quickly rabbits nip through wires though, so everything's got wireless mice and keyboards now and the trackball lives on the desk.

He was a Netherland Dwarf. Adorable, but similar problems to brachycephalic (short-nosed) dogs, breathing and tooth issues.

I got him at a year old after his incisors were removed by the rescue I got him from, he was surrendered with severe malocclusion and that was determined to be the best solution for him.

Thank you for your concern and ordinarily I would competely agree, however, they are completely safe for this particular bun, who has no incisors (it's kind of handy, despite the extra care required, he can't chew my furniture or bite me either).
