I went to Sephora for this but literally Whoever did this perfume did not know what they were doing, they didn’t do it with love or interest…. They didn’t have the same mentality, idea, and concept of the Original Goddess. It’s like they just did whatever… thank you for your review! Another iconic shirt matching perfume! Love it 😅

Agreed. Intense is great for fall/winter! Caswell-Massey Almond & Ellis Brooklyn Salt are my go tos for spring/Summer. I was very pleasantly pleased by this addition to the Goddess collection; it’s definitely more unisex than the OG Goddess

I got this one today in a small bottle and was very skeptical in the beginning, but once I tried it on my skin I was actually surprised in a positive way. I do like it a lot, it smells sweet and smoky on my skin.

I don’t like ginger note in the OG, but I fell in love with the intense version. The lavender disappears after a few minutes and becomes straight vanilla perfumes

I have both, love both) original for me is more light sweet and airy, intense more deep, not so sweet, even a bit masculine and very long lasting(10 hours on my skin minimum!). Love, love , love!

I tried it in Sephora last Saturday and wasn’t feeling it. The sales assistant said kind of the same thing… maybe I’ll revisit in Fall. I have & ❤ the original😊

I tried it yesterday in store. I agree it was a let down. I was hoping for just a heavier, long lasting version of the original. When i noticed the patchouli note i was intrigued because i like it in the flowerbomb, but its just not it. Saved me money by just sticking with the original LOL

You may have to get used to it. When your skin takes on it and the smoky boozy vanilla comes though with the lavender it's just heaven.. the original is lighter this one is heavier and it gives of more of the maturity.. and yes pathchouli is a love or hate thing I personally love it and the intense lasts on the skin longer .. same thing with the Mugler Angel original, which also has a heavy patchouli base 😉

I'm sad 😢 I'm not a fan of patchouli. It has to be blended VERY WELL in order for me to pick a fragrance with patchouli in it. I purchased the travel spray, I had a feeling.

Thanks for the review. I have been eyeing original Goddess for sometime but so far not on sale. I always wait for sales to buy large perfumes. Smaller sizes I don’t buy as these are not worth it. Even Macys have 15% off beauty and fragrances off the brands that are never on sale ofcourse with an exception of Channel. Saves good amount.

I admire your honesty!! I've also discovered that we agree on many scents, and that's why I trust your opinion 😄 I've tried this once, just a one spray, and I totally agree with you! It was a disappointment - it might be more "intense" than the OG but the patchouli makes it very masculine on my skin :( The OG Goddess is one of my favorites, but the Intense one is a hard pass. It's also missing the ginger I adore in the OG 😭

OMG I just tested this at sephora and I hated it. You are so right this does smell like something green but also minty. I like minty fresh perfumes but not for this, with the vanilla smells awful and just not very well blended. I am so glad I did not blind buy this because I would of been so mad but thank you for your review. Are you keeping it or returning it?

Goddess intense was not made for a goddess. I also feel like this could be a mens or at least unisex fragrance. I only like to mix it with a sweeter Vanilla perfume like Kayali Vanilla 28 or Montale Sweet Vanilla to balance out the patchouli and lavender because they intensified THAT but not the vanilla and sweetness in it at all unfortunately. wearing it solo, I only really like the dry down.

I just bought the intense and now I'm sad. I think the worker sprayed the original for me in the store, thinking it was the intense. I now own an expensive masculine fragrance. That was my birthday money 😭 My only hope now is it improves with maceration of the vanillas

UPDATE: The woman sprayed the correct one for me. It seems that the tester had time to "macerate" (as the kids say) My bottle is slowly but surely improving! I'm liking it now, the masculine aspects are going away. Thank GOD. Its starting to smell closer to what it should be. A lovely vanilla with a feminine delectable touch 🥰

Burberry Goddess worked for me, but it gave me a headache and even though I loved the scent, I couldn’t hang. Which is strange because I’m a vanilla addict! It was whatever note that was giving BG a salty metallic note to me. I’m hoping that patchouli in BD Intense will temper whatever that salty metallic not was for me. Because I was so sad that the OG did that to me, because the scent did work on my chemistry, but just gave me headache.

I feel the same when i spray the original version and i feel i payed 3 times more « Cuir de nuit » by Yves rocher i’m very disappointed Burberry Goddess dont worth the price and i’ll not do the same mistake with the intense version BTW : better buy Mon Guerlain or Libre (any version of them) is better in lavender and vanilla

I agree with u…..I would have expected it to be more vanilla, heavy instead of lavender and patchouli…..They completely F’d it up…..Welp I’ll save my dam money on this one…..Horrible to earthy for me. The way u explained it u hit it nail on the head. Why…..Did they not intensify the vanilla and make it more projective?

Or the same patchouli as Kayali Royal Sugared Patchouli, where it's actually the synthetic patchouli: clear wood? I don't know why I'm asking, I'm buying Cheirosa 71 and Pont Des Arts, Á Ce Soir next. I don't need more on the wishlist. 💀

The first time I tried it in the store I thought maybe it’s a bad batch or something happened to it because I couldn’t believe it is really supposed to smell THAT bad. I just sprayed it on my arm at Sephora, and I too am disappointed. 😢 The original is so much better! I don’t think this is more powerful than the OG. The patchouli smells like black licorice to me and I am not liking it at all!
