It's funny how the "systems" says older women have no value. However, when you need an older woman to take care of your responsibilities, older women become valuable.

Yeah they do this to older women they tell us to go back to him and just settle to keep the peace after they basically betrayed us and called us old at 39 they will manipulate you with threats and there physical strength but they need to be careful there I've been in several fights with both men and women and never got a black eye and I'm not that large either I'm kind of skinny you think I'd be easy to beat up but I'm not once I'm done that's it I'm done I refuse to try to fix someone that can't be helped.

2. Can we normalize telling women if you don't want children, you don't want to be in the position of a caregiver, don't date a man with minor aged children. It doesn't matter if he he's a weekend dad. It doesn't matter if he has zero custody but pays child support. There's no such thing as being hands-off when dating a parent. At some point in time parental responsibilities will fall on you and you would look like the asshole for saying no. 3. Op should press charges and file a report. OP should also threaten to sue the park for how they handled the incident. And if her husband can't get on the same page, OP should leave him too. Imo, what value is a man if he would watch his wife get assualted and say and no nothing about it? And sides against her? Husband has to go. If he won't protect and defend you, he won't protect and defend your kinds. You're essentially a married single woman.

Yes, I say this all the time. If you don't want to be with someone that has kids, then just don't. There is nothing wrong with that and you are doing the RIGHT thing by not getting involved. Nobody should ever put someone down for not wanting to date single parents. I told one young man I totally back him up if he doesn't want to date single mothers. However, I don't back him up if he wants to talk s-it about them. Nobody should give him a hard time for opting out of dating single mothers but also, he should NOT be putting them down.

I just want to know what is wrong with the baby’s grandparents and this woman’s children, that they think it would be in any way appropriate for this woman to adopt this child. How do they think that is going to work? I get that everyone is out for themselves. The baby gets to be in their lives, but they aren’t responsible for it as long as mom sacrifices her self respect. The only conclusion I can come to is that this woman has been a doormat her whole life, and everyone around her just expects her to suck it up, because that’s what she has always done. I hope this lady gets some therapy, and learns how to set some boundaries, and demands the people in her life treat her better.

I do not understand the parents of the teenaged boy. My oldest son is 11, and I would have lost my mind on my son. My husband would have lost his mind on our son. I cannot imagine being the parent of a teen aged boy, and then running to his defense over something like this. I don’t understand what these parents were thinking. I know it would be some version of, “but he is a child,” but that just doesn’t cut it when it comes to this kind of behavior. I’m not saying to throw the kid in jail, but to not take it seriously at all, and to act like the boy is a victim is just bizarre. All the husband would have to do in this situation is raise his voice, and more than likely, the little punk would have been shaking in his swim trunks. I witnessed a situation similar to this years ago. I had a friend who had a very large bust. Some teen boys working at the grocery store started mocking her large chest while she was try to check out. Her husband came up behind these boys and said, “Oh, so you like taking about breast. Why don’t you try talking about my breast?” Those boys were fumbling all over themselves trying to worm their way out. There are absolutely situations where it is best for a man to get his family out of there instead of engaging with them. But a well lit, crowded pool is not one of them. The husband didn’t have to put a finger on that kid in order to put him in his place. Just teaching that kid that there are men who are going to call out this kind of behavior would have worked wonders in teaching this teen how to behave. Unfortunately, this kid learned that public harassment of women will be tolerated, not only by his parents, but also other men. This is exactly why we have so many degenerates running around.

If he wants an actual relationship, he needs to find women also looking for a relationship and probably not sleep with them on the first date. HOLD UP! Story 1: They anticipated or expected OP to care for a baby she neither had nor adopted WITH her husband, but was born out of an affair? Why can’t they force mom to bring her irresponsible, home-recking butt home and raise her own dang child?! TF??!?!?!?!?! Ok….

She didn't wreck his home--he did. She may not have even known he was married, and even so, she did not take vows w/ his wife. Also, her bc may have failed. Ppl get pregnant on bc everyday. The married senior citizen with adult kids is the irresponsible one. Good on AP 4 not being stuck with a child like so many women.

For the woman with the audacious husband. It seems like a lot of people are missing that she said she “likes” kids. So it would have worked if he were a weekend parent or if his kids were older and more independent. But with him having near full custody, you need _love_ children and be okay with the role of “step-parent”. I’ve seen this work for both genders. With men, usually the bio dad sucks and the step dad is great-the kind that ends up walking his step daughter down the aisle. With women, the bio mom is usually an active parent.

She not wrong at all. The child's family can take care of the child. It's not her problem to take on his burdens. The man was a horrible. The kids can take care of the child cause I wouldn't. Why take on someone else's burden.

OP needs to be sorting this out, and spend the rest of the inheritance before her kids (ingrates all), inherit it. With the SA post, what is her husband teaching his daughter? Last one, women get mocked for investing too much in a one night stand, but a man is butt hurt when he does the same? Also, he needs to stop looking for a one night stand and start actually dating. And stop being such a tart

I hate that for the baby in the first story. Irresponsible adults bringing life in the world smh now the child will have to deal with the bad decisions of its parents even though she is innocent.

Story 1: well, hearing how her parents are I see how their daughter ended up with a 50yo “bf” at 22. Edit: I also see the 22yo as another victim in this story 🤷🏽‍♀️ I would really love to hear her side. There’s a reason she reacted like that, and why she was with someone old enough to be her father.

Good for the affair partner. There is no reason the child should live with her most of the time and him only every other weekend (or less).

Maybe he should try friends with benefits before he levels up to a relationship. Outside of that some therapy and learning to be better in bed.

#2 He thought he was successful with his Kong. It seems pretty obvious what his intentions were from day one. But let's assume they weren't . The best possible interpretation that I can give, with the best possible excuse/motive is that his ex did all of the invisible labor and he was not aware to any meaningful degree what actual parenting looks like so he thought he could do it. That is with the best possible interpretation of his actions. I believe the more likely scenario, is that he thought with his magical 🍆 he could get her to change her mind. That her natural maternal instincts would kick in (That literally all people with uteruses have) And he would be able to walk away securing the knowledge that she has lightened his load. If he could afford $2,000 a month in rent he could absolutely afford child care. What she's now dealing with is weaponized incompetents. He now has the money to spend on frivolously as he wants because she is responsible for keeping a roof over their head and he knows it. I agree with burb and bougie, All of her mistakes were made in the first couple of paragraphs. This man saw her coming a mile away. Time to exercise that prenup and get TF out.

1st story: If her children are worried about their half-sibling, they need to step up, not their mother who got cheated on. It is NEVER a good idea to stick someone with a child they resent. I have no idea how old her adult children are but, I was married and pregnant at 21. With the added SS benefits, they would have quite a bit of help and could absolutely take the responsibility if they do not want to lose their lil sibling. 3rd story: if either of my sons did that, they would get quite the slap off of me too! I even posed this one to my husband and he was shocked. As a parent, he said he would’ve told our sons they FAFO, don’t touch people. Last story: If he is looking for a steady relationship, my honest advice would be to wait a few dates before hooking up. That’s just my personal opinion but it can make a huge difference in chemistry.

There's not a chance in hell that woman can take custody of a child not related to her when the bio mom and family are all living. So they can yell at her all they want but it wouldn't even happen if she wanted it to happen.

This is why I find it very hard to believe some of these reddit stories..who are these people that think, that a person man or woman is going to take responsibility for their spouse's affair baby. Especially when said spouse is dead. And who with any common sense would call this woman an a-hole for not wanting to raise her dead husband's affair baby, her kids are crazy and that child's grandparents are crazy. That's their grandchild, they need to take care of it.
