I am dying I actually thought he was going to take some buds off the tree and stuff them in the fish for flavor till he started digging at the leaves, but I did know about boiling the bark to make a mild asprin.

God bless you all, the Trooper seems like a great guy, my daughter is a cop here in Arkansas and I pray for their safety , it is good to see there are good cops still out there, pray they never forget their oath, that is key to good cops, not order followers but oath followers.

Hi Robert and family. I searched through your links and merch page but couldn't f find the jacket that you were wearing at 4:50 of this video. i don't hunt anymore {hip replacement} but still deep sea and fresh water fish from my Hobie kayak I think that jacket would work well for me. Also, im not sure where you are in your trip but if you are coming through British Columbia id like to give you a shrimp shell and digestive tract remover. It really makes quick work of cleaning big shrimp, additionally I use it to clean lobster and crab legs and claws. Enjoy the journey Best Wishes Derek

As was pointed out many times(with unfortunately, no reply from Robert:( , Buffalo are NOT CARP, nor are they invasive, nor are they in any way detrimental to the waterway they were being killed (and wasted) in. I still love this channel, and appreciate everything Robert does for the community of outdoors men and woman , but that one video really should have a response from Rob.

What interesting to me is that the burbot are freash water cod, and the are as far south as wisconin and a few other states but here we mostly catch them in the winter cause that's when they come sallow enough to get them often.

Burbot here in Minnesota we call them eel pout... in Walker, MN they have eel pout festivals in February... We catch them in some of our larger lakes, usually when we are fishing for walleyes. Some of the fishing guides call it the poor mans lobster... I have yet to try one, I usually throw it back too slimy and too nasty looking...

that's awesome thanks for sharing.. if you would have stopped in south dakota, North of Pierre to pollock.. awesome awesome fishing. there is great Burbot fishing on the Missouri river.. it doesn't have the cool Mtns background,. But it does have pretty nice fishing there. I have the Moreau river close by and on a good day we can catch over 100 five pound average Channel catfish. It has some pretty goo walleye and perch too. Take care have fun be safe. oh yea the Moose pellets? dried out?, make great fire starter.
