The sad reality is actually reflected in the results of the UPSC CSE in a country where a majority of population lacks access to proper education and where people are needed who are aware of the ground realities to solve the issues of the ground we see a list dominated by IITians , St Stephens , LSR and belonging to elite backgrounds. This process is somewhat similar to the idea of the British colonial government to bring civil servants from their country and impose their rule on the citizens of the country. The attitude of the bureaucrats also throws light upon the fact that we are talking a lot about getting rid of colonial mentality but in reality we are doing very less.

Sir I belong to ST community I will be Frank here me and my brother were 1 St generation graduates my parents always tell us we don't have any assets the only assets we provide you is you're education and I see in my community now female literacy is increasing but it is still patriarchal and women are more dependent on men for finance so I when I have opportunity and support from my parents with God Grace if I clear I could help other females in my community to achieve financial independence and literacy with that motive I started but my dad sometimes tells that upsc has this problem not only upsc in govt jobs we should have links or money but after this statement he doesn't say don't prepare go for other jobs because he respects my decision now after watching your video I really felt this problem exists and I cant ignore do we have any solution sir what can be done

Absolutely there is huge holes in government.for EWS they don't do house visit to cross check if you fill their pockets.I myself went to tehsil for making EWS and they asked me for extra rupees I denied they bothered me many times like iska sign karao ... Lekhpal k pas jao vo h nhi to wait karo ..kal ana ..... aur last me mujhse extra paise lie hi....from that year I didn't make ews .even qualifying all criteria of category we cannot claim that.even Ppl whose father in police they claim EWS...it's really heartbreaking . Tmhare pas Paisa h to aapke sare kam turant ho jayenge .aur agar apke pas nhi h to na general category hote hue kbhi na scholarship milegi,na EWS ka fayda .😢😢😢😢

Certificates are scrutinised by DoPT not by UPSC. It is a lapse of DoPT not UPSC. You are a mentor atleast you should know.

@@sarcasticallyyours312 That is exactly where the problem lies, to pass the buck. It’s the same as “I had to re-dig the road because telecom department didn’t tell me that they had to put the wires”. UPSC, right after the prelims results, takes your certificates, who does the scrutiny at the backend then is passing the buck. Last year, many EWS candidates were almost on the verge of being denied interviews by UPSC because they had submitted certificates given by Naib Tehsildars whereas the rule says Tehsildars, how come this happened if only it was DoPT’s responsibility to “check” the documents. And thanks for bringing it up. Needs more clarification.

@@Simplifiedsd Sir , I had an issue in my certificate after being recommended for the service. UPSC clarified that they just check date,designation and caste, basically doing a 1st level check. Then send dossier to Dopt which check the authenticity of your certificates by contacting local admin etc and this is done only for caste certificates “So far as the discrepancy mentioned in point no. b) above is concerned it is informed that final decision w.r.t. discrepancy in SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate is in the domain of DoP&T being the nodal ministry. It is, therefore, advised that you may send any relevant/ requisite supporting documents w.r.t. resolution of the discrepancy mentioned in point b) alongwith self-attested photocopy of the same, which will be forwarded to DoP&T for final decision at their end. Further documents/ clarification, if any required by DoP&T, will be communicated to you by DoP&T directly.” Therefore majorly Dopt should be made accountable for this. Though UPSC also does a check but primary responsibility lies with Dopt.
