That moment at 1:00 when it starts to curve downrange. I was thinking, "London's not gonna be happy"

The Constructeur of the V2-Rocket in WW2 is Wernher von Braun, and after WW2 the Saturnrocket, the Way to the Moon.

Actually, it was called 'A-4', short for 'Aggregat 4' (aggregate or unit). I believe the "Vergeltungswaffe 2"-thing was Goebbel's idea.

The A-4 was made for low earth orbit, the A-4 became the V2, a weapon, same rocket, but two different uses
@huey-fan8335 Жыл бұрын
@@Ryotenian7826 that's not true, the A-4 is the same thing as the V2! The A4 was never supposed to reach low earth orbit, she wasn't powerful enough! It was intended to make a weapon that can deliver a 1 Ton warhed over 250 km with a 1 Promille target accuracy....! The V2 was named V2 after Goebbels named it V2....

Is this a scale version? Also: Is the engine close to the original, or is it just a rocket looking like a V2? Im interested in the (more or less accurate) sound of this rocket, because all the old film has no audio or no original audio (f.e. clips used in the Wochenshow are dubbed)
@etherialwell69593 жыл бұрын
Ok now when I think about it, the exhaust really does look like from solid fuel, so no, not the original sound I guess :(

what fueled the rocket...kno3 or liquid fuel

@theredstonehive6 жыл бұрын
They said it was an o motor, a classing (usually) used for solid rockets. Liquid fuel rockets don't often leave thick smoke trails and the exhaust looked like one from a solid rocket.

@@jimbodeek yes I think that most people don't realise that rockets need to go sideways very fast to get into orbit, rather than just straight up, I was playing on that. Source: am legit rocket scientist (many hours in Kerbal Space Program)
