Wow! I really enjoyed this video. I'm just getting into making wreaths and I love the explanations from start to finish from a beginner's stand point. I absolutely loved the ending. The love in mom's eyes for her daughter is absolutely adorable. My mother has gone on to be with the Lord and watching this video made me miss her so much for some reason. Anywho, thanks for the video and Happy Mother's Day ladies. God bless!

So sorry for your loss. My mother has been gone now for 12 years and she was such a talented lady....she would have been so proud of our business and watching us create things))) You'll have fun making the wreath and it will make you think of her every time you look at it))) The only thing is, we've sold out of the Burlap Bee we used....I have included a couple of suggestions for different items that can be used and these are listed on the written tutorial. I'll include the link in this post. The young lady in the video is my daughter))) We have a lot of fun making the videos....but have to do quite a bit of editing things out....we get carried away sometimes...lol. Thank you for watching! Sorry for the delay in responding, but we've been on a little Christmas vacation. We use several different techniques depending on the look we want to achieve. For the "flower" petal look, we pretty much just fold the squares to get a petal look. For the "ruffle" technique, we gather the square up through the center....and for "Curls" we just roll the square into a tube shape. Here's a link to all our tutorials we have on our website and that may help: www.trendytree.com/tutorials

Another wonderful wreath and I have probably said this before, can you adopt me lol. Carrie is so sweet and kindhearted and she gets that from you :) I had a quick question about the ribbons you choose for any wreath in general? Out of the 4 ribbons we choose, is there a rule when it comes to the width of each one? Like do you get two that are 2.5 inches and the other two that are thinner so you can stack it on the wider ones to look better? I hope I'm making sense lol
@trendytree
@trendytree 7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching, we appreciate it))) Maybe we didn't watch the same video...lol. Just kidding, Carrie is our only child and we're a very close family)))) There is no rule about the ribbons, but typically we will choose ribbons of different sizes so you can make a cluster. Sometimes we use all four ribbons in a cluster and sometimes just mix them up and put two or three of a kind in each twist. Thanks for your response about the work wreath to the other viewer. Folks can make their own wreath by using chenille stems, but for a couple of dollars more, I think it's work buying the Work Wreaths))

+Trendy Tree Thank you for responding :) I'm excited about Halloween and buying one of your wreath kits so I will be watching religiously since they sell out fast. I tried it the other way one time and never went back :)

What kind of ribbon do you use? I have a wreath that I made and I'd love to add some ribbon to it. Does it have to be wired ribbon so you can shape it and so that it keeps it's shape?
@trendytree
@trendytree 10 жыл бұрын
Holly Lusk Thanks for watching Holly. Typically we use wire edge ribbon because you can shape it. But you can also use non-wired ribbon as long as it has a nice stiff texture and will stick out a bit.

Hi Ladies. I have a question. When you do three colors, and do every other color - one color will end up being back to back on the pattern. How do you guys decide what color?
@trendytree
@trendytree 8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. This is one of our older tutorials but the technique can be applied to new materials of course. When we use three colors, we usually alternate the pattern of the cluster i.e. red/white/blue then the next would be blue/red/white or just a random pattern but not red/white/blue on each cluster of ruffles others you would have all blue on top and the red and white wouldn't show much. Thanks again, we appreciate the question))

can you use regular mesh to make this wreath?
@trendytree

Do you tuck your channel stems back under, or leave them sticking out?
@trendytree
@trendytree 7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching Lynn, we appreciate it))) It just all depends....if I have to use a wreath form that doesn't match (which we do frequently) I just tuck them to the inside. If they match or provide contrast I just leave them showing. Personally I like working with the Pencil Wreath best since the twists are smaller, but that's just my preference))

How would it work for an 18 inch wreath?
@trendytree
@trendytree 9 жыл бұрын
Courtney Bowden Thanks for watching Courtney. It should work fine on that size wreath...but I also wanted to mention that the "24 inch" wreaths that we use, actually measure 15" in diameter when you are measuring just the metal rings. With the addition of the twists and then materials...you wind up with wreath that measures anywhere from 24" to 30" There are work wreaths out there that are larger...so I wasn't sure if you were talking about one of those which would yield a 36" or larger wreath....or if you were talking about an 18" plain wire wreath with no twists. The larger the wreath frame, the more materials of course))

+Deanna Wootton Thank you for watching and thank you for your input. The background music was sort of a trial effort and we really haven't used any music much lately except for the beginning and ending))

I LOVED THIS VIDEO, BUT .......WHY does the lady in the white shirt look so mean at the beginning of the video??? She looks angry as hell! Look how she snatches on the fabric!!! OMG....she's like a crazy tickin' time bomb!! !DAMN!

Carrie is my daughter))) It's not anger or meanness, just apprehension and anxiety. She never knows what I'm going to say or do next really and doing the videos with no script is nerve racking))) But we're getting better as time goes by, this is one of our earliest videos))

I'm sorry hun. I shouldn't have been so mean myself. It's just that the video and wreath is so precious, I just didn't know why the young lady was "not happy". Thank you for being so kind and explaining it to me and YES, I would be very hesitant during a video.
