Thank you for watching! Sorry for the delay in responding, but we've been on a little Christmas vacation. We use several different techniques depending on the look we want to achieve. For the "flower" petal look, we pretty much just fold the squares to get a petal look. For the "ruffle" technique, we gather the square up through the center....and for "Curls" we just roll the square into a tube shape. Here's a link to all our tutorials we have on our website and that may help: www.trendytree.com/tutorials

Another wonderful wreath and I have probably said this before, can you adopt me lol. Carrie is so sweet and kindhearted and she gets that from you :) I had a quick question about the ribbons you choose for any wreath in general? Out of the 4 ribbons we choose, is there a rule when it comes to the width of each one? Like do you get two that are 2.5 inches and the other two that are thinner so you can stack it on the wider ones to look better? I hope I'm making sense lol
@trendytree7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching, we appreciate it))) Maybe we didn't watch the same video...lol. Just kidding, Carrie is our only child and we're a very close family)))) There is no rule about the ribbons, but typically we will choose ribbons of different sizes so you can make a cluster. Sometimes we use all four ribbons in a cluster and sometimes just mix them up and put two or three of a kind in each twist. Thanks for your response about the work wreath to the other viewer. Folks can make their own wreath by using chenille stems, but for a couple of dollars more, I think it's work buying the Work Wreaths))
@1981amillia7 жыл бұрын
+Trendy Tree Thank you for responding :) I'm excited about Halloween and buying one of your wreath kits so I will be watching religiously since they sell out fast. I think some confuse nervousness for something else but I see kindness and someone that is very sweet. And I think it's more then worth it to buy the work wreaths ready to go.... I tried it the other way one time and never went back :)

What kind of ribbon do you use? I have a wreath that I made and I'd love to add some ribbon to it. Does it have to be wired ribbon so you can shape it and so that it keeps it's shape?
@trendytree10 жыл бұрын
Holly Lusk Thanks for watching Holly. Typically we use wire edge ribbon because you can shape it. But you can also use non-wired ribbon as long as it has a nice stiff texture and will stick out a bit.

Hi Ladies. I have a question. When you do three colors, and do every other color - one color will end up being back to back on the pattern. How do you guys decide what color?
@trendytree8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. This is one of our older tutorials but the technique can be applied to new materials of course. When we use three colors, we usually alternate the pattern of the cluster i.e. red/white/blue then the next would be blue/red/white or just a random pattern but not red/white/blue on each cluster of ruffles others you would have all blue on top and the red and white wouldn't show much. Thanks again, we appreciate the question))

can you use regular mesh to make this wreath?
@trendytree8 жыл бұрын
+Janet Dumpert Thank you for watching. Yes, the ruffle technique does work best using 10" wide mesh though and you might need more layers for better coverage since Deco Poly Mesh isn't as dense as the paper mesh.
@lynnricenation967 жыл бұрын
Do you tuck your channel stems back under, or leave them sticking out?
@trendytree7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching Lynn, we appreciate it))) It just all depends....if I have to use a wreath form that doesn't match (which we do frequently) I just tuck them to the inside. If they match or provide contrast I just leave them showing. Personally I like working with the Pencil Wreath best since the twists are smaller, but that's just my preference))

How would it work for an 18 inch wreath?
@trendytree9 жыл бұрын
Courtney Bowden Thanks for watching Courtney. It should work fine on that size wreath...but I also wanted to mention that the "24 inch" wreaths that we use, actually measure 15" in diameter when you are measuring just the metal rings. With the addition of the twists and then materials...you wind up with wreath that measures anywhere from 24" to 30" There are work wreaths out there that are larger...so I wasn't sure if you were talking about one of those which would yield a 36" or larger wreath....or if you were talking about an 18" plain wire wreath with no twists. The larger the wreath frame, the more materials of course))
