janie Mccready Hi Janie and thank you for watching. If your 10" x 10" pieces are all the same and you pinch them in the center doing the ruffle technique, the very center where you pinched is where you secure them in the twists. Are you maybe making ruffles with some pieces and doing others on the diagonal perhaps. Or, is it your ribbon strips that is making your wreath look uneven? The ribbon strips should be all the same length, and also pinched in the center and secured in the twist by the center.
@janiemccready87329 жыл бұрын
no i am not doing the pieces i am doing from the rolls onto the rings and fluffing them
@trendytree9 жыл бұрын
janie Mccready Sounds like your poufs are not all the same size then. Place your yardstick on the last twist and measure your mesh 14" (that's the measurement we use for pouf technique), and pinch together at that mark, secure in the twist. Kind of watch your poufs as you go along and make adjustments before you get completely done in case you have one too big or too little. I've tried just free-handing the poufs, but have found that we have to measure. Also I usually will put my hands underneath the pouf once it's secured and sort of fluff it out before moving on to the next pouf.

@trendytree9 жыл бұрын
Ali Whitworth If you can see see the wreath form, I would just keep adding more ruffles and ribbon to make it fuller and you should get better coverage.

The only mesh I have is the 21" long ones - Can I cut that in half to do the 10x10 squares? I am concerned that where I cut the edges would be too frayed to work with. Or would burning the ends keep it from fraying?
@trendytree9 жыл бұрын
K M Wheeler Thank you for watching. I wouldn't recommend cutting 21" mesh to make the square, you're right about too much raveling. I've never tried doing anything to the ends of the mesh. The only way I would try it, would be to be making a wreath to see how you like the technique or something like that.

I love your videos and I am making these wreaths to sell myself. I have a question for you, how do you ship your wreaths? I ordered some boxes, ten for $32.00. But they just seem so heavy.( Like moving boxes) Could you help me? Thank you
@trendytree10 жыл бұрын
TheMajo535 Thank you for watching. We don't actually sell our wreaths, we just make them for tutorials. We do occasionally sell off our samples though. It usually takes about a 24" x 24" by 6" box or so to ship a wreath, just depends on the size. We buy our boxes in bulk from uline.com We usually use a 200# weight box. Anything thinner than that may result in damage along the way. It may also help if you have to ship a lot of wreaths, to secure the wreath on a flat piece of cardboard inside the box with zip ties....this will keep it from sliding around.
@tammyfishburne45309 жыл бұрын
Trendy Tree Is this size box for the same size wreath you are making in the ladybug tutorial? I think you said it was for a 24" wreath. Thank you.
@janiemccready87329 жыл бұрын
Trendy Tree was wondering the same thing.. thanks
@trendytree9 жыл бұрын
Tammy Fishburne Sorry, for the late response....I missed this message! Yes it would take at least a 24" x 24" x 6" box to ship this wreath, an 8" deep box would probably be better.

Did you cut the ends to the twists to keep them from showing? Or did all of the material hide them? Thanks!

Sandra Godino Sometimes the material covers them and sometimes we just let them show. But if you don't want them to show, just tuck them back to the inside.
