I lived off Army compo for 9 years and after a while you get used to the taste, especially the bacon grill😊. Eat it from the bag, easier and no washing up. Remember, these meals are designed to give an active soldier sufficient calories, not good taste 😂😂😂. Love the vids guys, ride safe....

Another good video when it gets too cold and you can't ride everywhere and camp, you could always do reviews on motorcycle gear from home. All of us need gear. Whether it's helmets, gloves, trousers or jackets. We all need it. Be nice to see some reviews on some of the ones you can get from sponsors maybe. I used to love army rations. Best thing to eat after a long yomp through the countryside on training exercises And then deployments where you got nowhere to eat. Definitely what I'm going to get for camping.

Our wedding anniversary is end of October and when we were your age we were still camping. When we woke up in the morning there was snow on the ground. So noe problems camping this time of year. I live in the New Forest and horses, ponies, cattle and pigs are free to roam the WHOLE of the New Forest not just a few villages so keep your wits about you on the roads. Also Burley is the classic tourist trap, as you found out 😉 And finally, come the Summer, particularly at weekends, the roads are rammed with grockles including loads of cycles. I'm a member of the camping and caravan club, I'll go and look into this legislation malarkey, sounds like a load of ol bllx to me.... or some New Forest thing. Last camping trip I did to North Wales in late Sept I parked on a camper van pitch and put my tent on the grass. The owners didn't mind and it worked well for me. Ewa's dinner looked....erm, interesting!

@neilmackinnon3371Ай бұрын
@@ontheroadadventure I've just done some searches on the CCC site and the majority of club sites in the South West are now closed, including the site at Verwood. The legislation you were told about may be more to do with wardens living on site, and could be more of a planning permission thing. I know that properties designated as holiday homes, can only be occupied for around nine months of the year, possibly that was the reason.

(10:53) we start our winter camping around November to March, at all the state parks here in the states. Most of the RV parks are already booked by people that stay the entire winters, (our Canadian friends) from up North. So, it's state parks or KOA campgrounds, for daily to weekly stays

Hello from up the road, Burley isn’t as good as it used to be, so very commercial now, but the Queens head is a lovely pub. lol sage or rosemary will keep the mozzies away! Definitely get some mead! Sybil Leek is a hugely famous as being one of the first witches to come out in the open after the repeal of the 1735 witchcraft act in 1951. Gerald Gardener is another well know Wiccan author. Sadly, yes all the new forest campsites shut down end of Sept/Oct. There are a few great sites open all year, glad you got into Hurst View, they do loads of things throughout the year. Also Longthorns by the Tank Museum, open all year and fab! Have a great time 😊

😂 love the trepidation about those ration packs. To be honest, I haven’t had one that was totally inedible but you do need to keep expectations low as they’re practical rather than haute cuisine. If it’s only the main meals you want, it’s often worth looking out for the deals in Go Outdoors where they do buy one get one half price, which can make them cheaper than buying online. They’re in a fancier packet but basically the same thing. Just don’t eat too many or you won’t 💩 for a week 😂😂

MRE's (Meals Ready [to] Eat), military rations and anything else you can keep for 10 years or more and still "eat".. Are all just so disgusting that even bacteria and fungi are like: 'No mate, I'm having none of that!" My parents took them on mountain hiking trips.. For me those were a reason to just not eat for 3 weeks, just when I got hungry, see and smell the "food" and that pretty much fixed my hunger for the rest of the day... At some point they switched to canned meals, that tasted exactly like the tin they came in... I think you're better off just cooking the meals like on the Europe trip.. Just go to a local supermarket and get some nice local stuff.. It's a bit more work, but I think it's definitely worth the trouble...

I’m guessing everyone’s journey is different but we are about two years into our KZbin journey and we are not even close to breaking even with costs. You need to do it because you love it not to try to make money

Hi, Burley is only a few miles from where I lived when I was in the UK. Sibyl Leak was a well known character who's husband ran a very small 'junk shop' in Ringwood, my uncle knew them both very well and always said that she told and showed him a she'd found a book on magic and that was how thing started as she took to It like a duck to water. She would appear on the local TV news programmes from time to time back in the 1060's and before going to America she had a normal/common accent of the area. However on return to the UK she had put on airs and graces somewhat. Yes there was and no doubt still is a local coven of witches and most likely wannabes as well. However during WW2 when the Nazi's were contemplating invasion of the UK the local coven held a 'mass' at the Naked Man tree deep in the forest to stop it, it must have worked as the Germans never did invade, but unfortunately one of the members died afterwards. A human sacrifice? make of that what you will. It's amazing how the village seems to have changed in the 20 plus years since last visiting it. At least the New Forest looks the same, when I was young you could camp anywhere for free but would be pestered by the cows and horses plus pigs this time of year let out to eat the acorns.

@@ontheroadadventure Oops, looks like I hit the 0 and not the 9 for when Sybil was on the local TV, it should have been the 1960's. Put it down to old age and senility on my part, plus the keyboard on my latest laptop is smaller than the previous one and I'm always hitting the wrong button.

It’s a man job he says, and promptly makes it into 3 jobs 😂😂😂 Wiccans are a real thing in the UK, aligned to nature and the elements. Absolutely no difference from any of the other belief systems, apart from a whole lot less hate and exclusion 🧙🏻 Google how Yule, Samhain, Mabon and Ostara were all pinched by Christianity and turned into Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Harvest festivals… "An' ye harm none, do what ye will" Having said that a spell or two cast on Mr Angry Welshman might not go amiss 😉🧟♀️

lol That’s standard man work, make more problems, fix some of the problems, call that an overall result and move on 😂😂😂

Rich & Ewa. Not sure you managed to sell the gourmet ration packs to me! I presume you took the precaution of locating the tent close to the toilets?🤢 Suggest you stick to a cheddar sandwich and Scotch egg! Would be interested to hear your thoughts about how you now compare the AT to the Voge you recently reviewed now you’re back on the AT? Given the price of the latest AT in MCN it’s hard to reconcile paying such a premium when the Voge seems (on the face of it at least) to offer more spec for less? Can you see yourselves being tempted? Keep up the great videos.

We loved being back on our twins, we do love these bikes they are great for our needs but I do wish they were lighter in weight at times. The voge offers amazing value for money without a doubt. I don’t know, there’s so many amazing bikes on the market it’s almost impossible to choose just one!
