Kayak Cart Duel: Wilderness Systems vs Vevor HD Cart

This video comparing both carts side by side is a gem, and a key factor in making my purchase. I bought it on Amazon for $73, I got it last night. I am starting from scratch my fishing kayak rig and it allow me to save and use money in other important accessories. The wheels fits inside the front cargo of the Sportmans106 pdl but not the metal frame, I can strap it on the back of the kayak easily and it looks great. Amazon has the vevor for $70 right now. I just couldn't pay the extra for the wilderness systems. Ill just spray mine black to fit in lol.

Bro! That cart is awesome. What I love about it, and the Wilderness, is that with those padded rails you can just set the kayak on it and go. With mine, you pretty much have to strap it down. I’m definitely looking into that Vevor in the future. Wilderness is just too much money. Great video, Jay.

Is the inner wheel diameter the some on both wheels? Will the vevors slide on the wilderness? I want ballon tires for my wilderness and the vevors are cheeper

Good review. Been using the wilderness cart and the height I have to lift has always bugged me. Gonna get the vevor with beach wheels for 100 bucks.

My Vevor Cart has been failing consistently on beach launches. My boat weighs 150lbs, and when normal beach condition lead to lateral loading the wheels sheer off the retainer pins. I replaced them with stainless steel pins and it still loads so much force onto the pins that they break off.

Thanks RV! I'd definitely recommend the Wilderness Systems for an AP 120. My good friend uses that specific cart on his. Before I got my trailer, I've used the Wilderness Systems on my AP 136 with very little problem. The 136 is just very long and cumbersome, so I prefer to trailer it. I'll post a video on my storage solutions for my yaks soon in the next few weeks brother! Appreciate you!

Wow!! Can’t believe the wilderness kayak cart is 240$. I bought mine 2 years ago when it was under 200$. I probably would’ve went with that cheaper cart back then..but like you…my wilderness cart has held up like new. No regrets in getting it!! Great review!! 👍🤡👍

Yeah man! Inflation is a killer 😡 My Old Town PDL 120 went up $750 since I purchased it 3 years ago too. It’s nuts! But I digress. The wilderness cart is 🔥 and worth the bank for sure! Thanks for watching my guy!

Great video about the two carts! I use the wilderness systems cart as well. You mentioned the kick stand as an aftermarket part that you can purchase. Where have you found that part?

Hey Jay how does the VEVOR Cart work with the balloon wheels? Is there enough clearance for your 120 PDL?

I didn’t try out the balloon wheels unfortunately. That’s definitely a valid concern, which is why wilderness system cart has and high/low setting. Good thing is you can order on Amazon and return if they don’t have enough clearance. Thanks for watching my guy!

I got my vevor cart for 79 bucks last summer 😁 And it's wide enough to be modified for a slayer max hull shape by adding center bunks. I have a video on my channel on how I modified it.

Thanks for the video…question…I noticed that when you put the kayak on the Vevor the kickstand was facing the front of the boat when you loaded it. But when you walked it around the kickstand was facing the rear of the boat. Any reason for switching this?

No specific reason. Probably just switched it between shots without realizing it. I had to reshoot the demo portion. Doing it with the kickstand on the front is easier because it means lifting the kayak less.

My Fam just ordered me an Old Town PDL 106 kayak for Father’s Day Now I’m looking for a cart, that I can store away in the front or in the crate in the back….. I was looking at the Yak Attack Bunkster, any experience with that cart? That breaks down pretty small Thank you

It seems like the breakdown is similar in size. You should be able to fit the vevor in the hatch. I’ve done it on my PDL 120

I note and something else the "U"s of the "black" cart are drilled something that does not exist at the "silver" cart. This fact makes the 2nd cart more robust!!! I was tried to buy the "silver" cart but the company does not sent that at Hellas (Greece) unfortunately!!!

Vevor would've been way better than on the pockets 😊. For a kick stand, I use a pair of vise grips with electric tape so i dont scratch the frame, thats what i do to hold up my wilderness cart.

wilderness is OVERRATTED and you have to buy an aftermarket kick stand for it? as if it wasn't so expensive already. Save some money and just get the Vevor. I've had both before and trust me that kick stand makes a huge difference on the Vevor. They are basically the same carts, plus the Vevor breaks down easier for storage while the Wilderness is just so bulky.
