The "rules" of Chucky's curse are pretty arbitrary, especially starting with the next one. That said, Chucky did not get a *new* body in Child's Play 2. The people at the toy company retrieve the original Chucky and restore him -- although new rubber skin and pieces are used, there's still some of the original Chucky in there. Since the blood gets dribbled into the machine in this one, he actually does get a brand-new body.

I don’t know if anyone thought of this but I always took child’s play 2 as both chucky misstepping and revenge movie. I say this because I believe he could of gotten into grace Poole because of telling her of his real name. The new body he had by them fixing him up in the beginning. The revenge part was him fixating on finding Andy because of what he did to him in part one so he wasn’t thinking the rules reset. Just a head theory I have always had

In the original script, the climax would be MUCH longer: - In the theatrical release, Chucky has half of his face ripped off by a scythe (which for some reason is a real scythe). In the script, Chucky would be injured in a different way: Instead of a scythe in the face, Chucky would be injured by motion-triggered metal spikes that would stick right into his crotch. Chucky would scream horribly as the spikes pressed him against the wall. The spikes would eventually return to their original position and Chucky would fall to the ground, moaning and clutching his privates. - A buggy with two kids would pass Chucky and they would start making fun of the doll, saying he wasn't scary. Chucky, who is now furious at Tyler's escape and filled with pain, press the knife to one of the boys' throats and asks "Scared now?" Just as Chucky tries to kill them, the buggy continues its course, and the two boys look at each other and start screaming. When they leave the attraction, the employee sees the children running and screaming and he smiles, saying that it never fails. - The operator would notice that Tyler disappeared and would look for him. Upon finding Tyler, the furious operator would say "I'm going to kill you", and then Chucky would show up saying "Get in line". Chucky would stick his knife in the operator's stomach and kill him, with the script describing that the haunted attraction's lights would flicker on and off during the scene. - Chucky would force Tyler to take them to an outdoor roller coaster, where Chucky would try to perform the ritual. Chucky would scare the nerd employee and make him have his head blown off in a tunnel. Every other passenger on the attraction would scream in horror (but in a moment of suspension of disbelief, none of them would notice the living doll in one of the carts). One bystander at the ground listen the screams and says "Must be one hell of a ride" - Just as Chucky is about to finish the ritual, Andy manages to shoot him. At this point, the train enters a 360 degree loop. Andy and Tyler manage to hold on, but Chucky isn't so lucky and he falls off the train. Chucky falls onto one of the tracks and it looks like everything is fine...until he watches in horror the train speeding towards him. Chucky gives one last scream of terror the way only Brad Dourif knows how to do it, and then the train hits him, sending him flying across the sky. Chucky hits a brick wall, and the impact causes his body to explode in a gush of plastic and blood (somehow nobody at the park watches this) - Andy is not arrested by the police in the original script, which has a happy ending. Andy and Tyler get off the train and meet De Silva, who is afraid of heights and saw everything that happened from the ground. She throws up nervously and then Tyler would ask if they could get on the Ferris wheel. De Silva would reply that she would like to eat first and the film would end with the trio happily strolling through the amusement park.

Behind the scene, a fact about Child's Play 3 --->The late great John Ritter was originally set to play a security guard in the Good Guy Dolls factory at the beginning of the film. 10:20 Well I'm just going to be honest with you. Is that the voodoo magic is not really consistent in the movies so prepare. But to answer your question the body Chucky had in Child's play 2 was the same on he had in Child's play 1 only that it was his burnt body that got repaired so he needed to go after Andy. Chucky's doll body in this movie was remade from scratch or should I say molten plastic so I gusss that counts has him getting a new body. Oh boy I can't wait for you to get to Bride of Chucky! It's so iconic and Jennifer Tilly playing Tiffany is such a queen and one of the best things that happened to the franchise. Btw Andy will not be in the next 2 films. Because they thought the story was being a little too repetitive with Chucky going after Andy so they gave the character a break.

Wait till she gets to Seed and Cult where Mancini just makes up the rules out of his ass and retcons everything...
@JenTilly962 жыл бұрын
@@Jaydogg222 Honestly I didn't care that he did that honestly. There is only so little you could do with the established rules in the first movie. And I think the voodoo powers kinda limited what he could do with the story so I don't wrong him tbh. So I'm glad he made Chucky not want to be human anymore. I'm mean the voodoo wasn't his idea. And not everything is retcon. The only thing that I see is a problem is the amulet in Bride but it's still a whatever it's not like it's being used again.
@adamshows11422 жыл бұрын
@@JenTilly96 Thank you for mentioning all of that. The whole voodoo idea was not Don Mancini’s. I know people despise “Seed of Chucky,” but that’s the thing. I don’t blame Mancini for the direction he went going forward after “Child’s Play 3.” I mean, let’s put it this way: If the franchise just kept going with Chucky going after a body to be human, the franchise would’ve died faster, and the fans would still condemn it, so it’s possible that it’s a lose-lose situation regardless.
@JenTilly962 жыл бұрын
@@adamshows1142 Thank you. I honestly dislike how people keeps condemning Don Mancini because he tried new things with the franchise. I personally love SOC despite its wacky and over the top things about it. And I hate the fact that people say the later movies should've been like the first 3 movies and I know its their opinion and I get that but the whole reason they didn't do that was because Child's play 3 bombed at the box office and people found the storyline repetitive even Don himself and Brad Dourif said C3 is there least favorite of the franchise. So I'm glad things changed up for better or worse.
@adamshows11422 жыл бұрын
@@JenTilly96 I agree. Considering where Mancini was coming from making “Seed”, I began to embrace it more. I really appreciate that that film actually relished in the insanity, with all the odds against the fans before it even hit the big screen. I’d rather take a miss in a very interesting way than having some cold, run-of-the-mill movie that rinses and repeats. The barber has a starring role in Hellraiser and there are a few call backs in this film to that role. Don Mancini pays a lot of homage to other horror masters and their work. There is plenty of synergy in the horror movies and tv shows especially in the 90s . For instance the Crypt Keeper has the same pair of eyes as the original Chucky from Child’s Play 1. Now you can’t unsee it. The director of Freddy vs Jason directed Bride of Chucku first so Bride of Chuckys intro put everything in the same universe and was a big Easter egg for FVJ

I don’t think this one is as bad as it’s reputation. It’s still pretty fun. This one came out less than a year after part 2. So the studio was churning them out at this point. Don Mancini said he didn’t really have any good ideas but was pressured to write something quickly and that’s why he decided on the military academy. It was a different setting for Chucky to explore.

I really hope that you do a video reaction to the tv show that was released last year. They connected everyhing since the first film and it's really cohesive, i think you'll have a great moment. The show is set after the 2017 film. Love your reactions!!!

Fun fact, Chucky 3 was mostly filmed at Kemper military school. Kemper military school shut down some of their main buildings, however the ones that are still open are now a community college.

Some people don't care for this one, but I happen to really like it. I wish it had a better conclusion. They should have wrapped the story, once and for all, and had Andy walk off into the sun set with his girl and his friends. I didn't care for the 4th and 5th. After New Nightmare, and especially after Scream, everyone was trying to do satire and metahumor, and in the hands of the wrong director it just didn't always work and got very old.

I feel like Bride did it better, while Seed was way outdated by 2005.

Don't try to make sense of the cannon. It will change in pretty much every installment. You just have to roll with it when they change the rules about how/why Chucky needs to body swap

The fact that USA army (in this universe) completly ignored a serial killing doll attacking one of their best schools is still crazy to me.

@@omglookomgz Which is weird to me, I know this is only in movie, but a supernatural doll attacking/killing a bunch of future solders/officers whould be a cause for alarm in our world. Hopefully.

Great reaction. I do love this one too, but can't wait for your reaction to Bride, it's my favourite Chucky film. The crazy barber in this was Andrew J Robinson who i once met at a Star Trek convention, and he was lovely. I complimented him on playing psycho's so well (most notably in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Dirty Harry).

The original opening of the film was quite different and would make more sense. In the original script, the film would take into account the alternate ending of "Child's Play 2", where a piece of Chucky's face fell into the toy machine and created a new face with his soul. The film would start with a group of children breaking into the abandoned factory and telling the story of Chucky, who at that moment became an urban legend. They would find Chucky's head, which would scare them away. After that we would have the scene of the factory being reopened. The script also has a dialogue with Chucky saying he is going to kill the owner of the company because Chucky blames him for having spent all these years trapped in the factory without being able to move.

This one came out the year that I was born. Crazy how I literally watched all of these movies in my childhood. I used to have this life sized doll that I honestly side-eyed after watching these movies. It used to sit on the top shelf in my closet and where my bed was placed it would just be looking down at me at night if I didnt close the door. LMAO. Yet I couldn't stop myself from watching the franchise.

It's funny that you say he's falling from the heights in Mordor. The voice of chucky is the actor who played Grima Wormtongue in Lord of the Rings. I'm guessing you knew that, and that's why you made the reference. Still, it made me laugh.
