I like the narrative idea and your timeline. Maybe add a visual of when the video was filmed what was going on but also showing where you are currently. The timeline could have the dodge, the jeep and the fuso with years and locations as a reference. If I know the context and understand why you e chosen to share your past experiences you haven’t shared before I’d love to watch. I don’t get mad at a friend for telling a story from 2 years ago, just give 30 seconds of context.

What software are you using for editing? I edit with Premiere on a daily basis. I’ve lost projects in the past, that’s never a fun experience. I like the idea of a timeline of the your journey, but a mountain bike special would be cool to see. Especially if you have all of this great footage. Sounds like a great idea. At the end just do what makes you happy. I shot tv news for 23 years, and made a change 12 years ago to shoot and edit for marketing and pr. I knew I wanted a change in my life at that time. I enjoy watching your adventures and seeing what you do with your rigs. I never knew about King of the Hammers until I watched your channel. Thanks for the adventures my friend.

I would love to see a Down2Mob-II channel. You can concentrate on your short videos on your projects that are current and post longer series videos on your second channel. I’ve seen other KZbinr’s do it and I make an effort to watch both with the same excitement. Good luck on your adventures and look forward to seeing more great content.

I understand, and if you are feeling the stress of continuous filming, you can take some time away from the camera. I’ve been filming nonstop since February 2021 when I return to full-time nomad life after six years years of caring for a parent with ALZ. I can’t seem to get any traction on KZbin whatsoever. I’ve actually removed several hundred videos because nobody ever even watches them. Which is odd because my Fansly, Patreon, Instagram, and TikTok all blow up, and I don’t really put much effort into those things. If you make it back to AZ this winter, I’ll keep an eye on the trail for you. I’m trying to get there, but we’re having logistical problems and getting out of PNW. Keep up the good work look forward to seeing the mountain biking adventures. I actually lived and worked in the cycling industry for around 35 years.

Life is crazy and high stress. Adding the need to film and edit and perform for YTube just doubles or triples the stress. Just pop in periodically to let us know that all is well!

Ps. Always do a backup "Save As" duplicate save just in case the original save or auto save mucks up. I've been there and the only consolation is knowing that what took 3 hours initially will probably take half the time on v2.

@_G, Good point. Those prior edits could always benefit from setting and resting. After your mind shifts to focus on other everyday activities, returning to the 'finished' product with fresh eyes generally offers the opportunity to further edit. Pare it to expose the bones, then *LIGHTLY* embellish from there. . An aside: Any video longer than about four minutes, I change my telephone to '1.25x playback'. Any video longer than ten minutes, I shift my telephone to '1.5x playback'... or faster. . With commercials, an hour video could be close to two hours out of my life. Like Clodd evaluating his editing efforts and their Return On Investment, I don't see my Return On Investment for me to sit and sit and sit and watch and watch. . PS: I turn 73yo in a few weeks. My potentially crippling death-defying 'EPIC' craziness is decades behind me. After you invest dozens of hours into your mountain bike show, I may watch a few minutes out of respect for your past content, but it holds zero interest for me.

I can see the repetition of camping and juat telling your story through travel can get old. Doing what you love, and filming it is personal to you. The MTB videos are killer because you can see how enthusiastic you are about it even if your body doesn't agree. Doing it in even small doses though hopefully wont burn you out. I personally like the RC stuff too though. So feel free to go that route more as well. 😅

I like a sequential timeline but, as an avid mountain biker, I'm looking forward to the mountain bike "movie." I just started watching a new YT mountain bike channel, and their videos are all over the place. One vid they're in Bellingham, WA (near me,) the next one they're in Chile, the next one they're in Hood River, OR, the next one they're in Ecuador, etc. It's like..WTF is going on here?? I like to feel like I'm living vicariously through the content maker (since I have a "normie" life) and not having a sequential timeline makes it less interesting. Just my opinion.
