I request for prayers for my loving husband as he’s been not doing so well. Our plan was to get retired and enjoy life together and explore new places together. Please pray that we get the opportunity to do so and he gets fully recovered. Thanks. ❤

I recently dropped my hours at work as a cashier from 40 hrs. a week to 32 hrs. I was feeling burnt out myself, working with the public and standing all day is rather draining . Recently my daughter moved out to start a welding career, which means one less mouth to feed. Just having a few days off a week to recharge and take care of myself along with my spiritual needs has made a difference. Sometimes just making a slight change can make a big difference. Thank you for another great video.

I really needed to hear this today. Since treatment for breast cancer over the last 2 years, and approaching my 70th birthday, I can’t do what I think I should be able to, and I’m pushing myself too hard too. I hope you’re being easier on yourself now, and I will remember to slow down too. X

This video couldn’t have come at a more perfect time for me. We moved from the USA to Germany 2 1/2 years ago with our 4 kids. The first year and a half, I focused on helping my children integrate. I ignored how much I was suffering - how much I was grieving for my old life, my family, my friends, and small, everyday things I missed. This past winter I couldn’t ignore my grief anymore and it all came crashing down on me. I have been doing a lot less in order to recover, process and heal. Whew, it’s hard, like really hard!

Connie I actually wondered how you could keep up with all your videos while making such a monumental change. Glad you are taking time to recharge now. I had a private session with my yoga/meditation teacher during a vipassana and I was feeling angst over some big changes in my life and he told me to put notes around the house that say, "Everything is perfect exactly how it is". I did it and took a couple of deep breaths everytime I read them and 25 years later I still come back to that truth when I feel overwhelmed. Blessings to you sweet Connie. Take the the you need...your community will understand and be here for you!

Thank you for this message! As a school based Speech Language Pathologist, I completely burn out every year. I need a career with less stress but nothing has come…yet. I had been feeling guilty about not being “productive” this summer but realized that I need this time to heal. It is okay to take the time to find balance! Wishing you many blessings as you move into your new life!

Thanks for your comments about not putting too much pressure on yourself. It's easy to do, especially since we live in a go-go-go culture. I'm glad that you were able to rediscover your Spirit to find peace and to let go of Ego egging you on to do more than your body and mind could handle. Take good care, Connie. 💜🙏☮

oh connie I haven't followed you for long, but you're sort of one of my friends. A very valuable friend. You are absolutely more than enough dear Connie. You are such a valuable, inspiring person. You have done so much to move forward with your brain injury. Your whole being was shaken up and you did sooooo much!!!! Be absolutely proud of yourself. Please! And have compassion for you. I'll be 50 soon, my children are slowly fledged. My husband isn't always very empathetic and my life isn't going at all the way I had originally imagined it and it's all too much for me at the moment. I feel for you. We make it. We are totally enough!!! We are absolutely perfect. As perfect as the butterflies on the summer flowers and when the wind takes us to another flower, we make the most of it with love. Sending lots of love to you and everyone in the community. Let's have compassion for ourselves.

We are empty-nester minimalists. We were very tempted to do as you have done, sell almost everything, including our home, and live the nomadic lifestyle that so many our age are choosing to live, but through much prayer, we felt God calling us to something different. Instead, we decided to keep our home, as it allows us the opportunity to host people, or to home swap when we want to travel, to serve as a home for traveling missionaries, etc. It is a good decision for us. Everyone has their own path, but I think letting God take the lead is so important. He has a plan for each of us and we trust that whatever path He chooses will be the best and most fulfilling path for us.

Thank you, Connie. I recognize myself in you. It is a work that lasts all our lifes. The moment we let our internal critic to speak, we are thrown in search of whatever that leads us to anxety, weakness and dispear. We just have to sit and listen to ourselves, no matter what society says. I hope you achieve that mental calmness. We are enough at this moment. No fears, no regrets. We are perfect. My best wishes.

Your videos are so inspiring. It is so easy to take on too much, we all do it at times . We really do create so much of our own reality, the expectations of the world often pull us off track. I don’t think humans were ever made to handle the societies we live in right now. Endless changes in technology that we are expected to keep up with, so many fast paced changes that cause stress. You are a shining example of someone who is working to find a more peaceful life. It makes me realize I am not the only one struggling to find that peace and simplicity. Yes, take care of yourself, so many of us have grown to care about you and wish you all the best.

I recently rushed a big project (publishing my book) while parenting 1&3yo boys full time and it resulted in so much burnout. I did less workouts and walking so my mental health was really struggling by the end. I'm glad I finished the book but do wish I'd just taken it at a more manageable pace. I gained weight and loss peace, lost health in the muscle mass I'd worked hard to gain. I can get back on track but am aware that I need to learn from this experience

I appreciate your honesty in sharing your struggle. I moved with my husband to Portugal and the first 18 months have been filled with discovery, delight and also, very draining. To be surrounded by a foreign language, one difficult to learn, and the tiny little things that are new and done differently in this culture. Plus, I am an artist, trying to fit my art practice into a small apartment kitchen - where before I had a large, dedicated room in our old home. Needing to remember it’s OK to take it slow and nurture myself.

Thanks so much for this video, Connie. Your videos are always so beautiful and calming! I also hit total burnout after moving from the USA to Germany. It was quite stressful for me from the very beginning however it wasn’t until the 2 year mark that I allowed myself to realize that I was really homesick, and really stressed out and wanted to move back because things were just easier for me in the USA where everything was familiar. Whew, I’m still unpacking it all and seeing a therapist has been helpful, too. But I scaled way back on my KZbin channel and did a lot less, like you mentioned in the video. I realized that for my entire adult life, I’ve never really known how to relax and slow down. I’m like a motor - never ending do do do. So I’ve been relaxing more and it feels so good! So I relate to your video so much.

Excellent messages here. I also have come to the same conclusions on many of the same things - thoughts shifting my reality, the recognition of my inner critic and how it was undermining me my entire life, and coming to the point of an absolute burn out. It's been rough, I feel the same on all of that. And slow living is what has been brining me back. It's helpful to hear someone share the same things I've experienced also. I also have noticed I seem to get more done by only focusing on doing a few things. Interesting, isn't it? It seemed like I could never get enough done before and I worked like a dog trying. Now I seem to get enough of all the right things done and everything is better. It's so validating to also hear someone else share the same darn things I've experienced as well. Thank you and big hugs. 🥰🥰

This was beautiful. I love how you can share with us so much of what we are all going through and to gently remind us that some things (ideals) are not worth holding onto if they cause us a lot of pain (or cause other's pain because we are so driven to accomplish EVERYTHING). I myself am an over-doer due partially to the people-pleaser I was raised to be, but slowly I have realized I was running on someone else's hamster wheel but with my energy. My wheel is more like...well something that moves really slow, but I can't think of a clever word because I'm cutting out stimulants to slow my roll, lol! I know there's a period of adjustment so I'm not freaking out too much (goes to reach for crossword puzzle book).

Connie, thank you for sharing this with us. You remind us to stop and see how we are feeling and what's going on internally. We're incredibly hard on ourselves which for me keeps me stuck. Your message today is one of self-love and self-compassion. This helps me tbreathe easier. Thank you for your vulnerability. I realize that being authentic with myself is one important dimension to inner peace. So much to learn.....now to help myself by bringing it down and not be so hard on myself. I always learn a great deal from your messages Connie. And the scenery in your videos is absolutely beautiful. So good for the soul. Thank you 🙏❤️

It sounds like you are experiencing several life transition moments all at once. Possibly you are in the menopause transition? 5 - 7 years in total, and you may have just lived through the burn house the moment, all the while now being an empty nester, without a nest! In the menopause transition we can strongly meet our inner critic. Maybe you need to make a nest for a while and experience this time more stationary. I have been reading a book called Wise Power by Alexandra pope and Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer, and finding it extremely helpful. I am 54 and don't think I would be able to negotiate through this time without stepping back and having as much stability as possible. Yes to just sitting in peace as the most essential thing right now. All the best.

Your such a beautiful person inside and out. I have just started a new job so I’m constantly asking questions and I feel inadequate. I want to be good at the job. I put myself down constantly telling myself I’m not quick enough or not good enough. I’ve been suffering bad chest pains aswell. Only been at the new job a couple of weeks but I’m so anxious. I do like the job I just put a lot of pressure on myself. Everyone at work thinks I’m doing well it’s just me and there’s so much to learn. Too make matters worse my landlord has put my rent up 50% so I have no choice but to stay at this job and I’m panicking if I can even afford the rent totally from my income. I’m so scared and my anxiety is through the roof I have two grown up children living at home aswell. It’s such a terrible situation. Please if your able to offer any help and advice I’d be extremely grateful to you. How can I calm down and make the situation better. Any help would be so appreciated. I don’t want to make myself ill. Thankyou for your videos they make me so happy. Lots of love Your fan Carly xxxx

Good day Connie Thank you so much. I've loved the quote by Marianne Williamson (wrote it down inb my journal). Beyond that, I feel ever so close to what you're saying. It is a gift for which I sincerely thank you.
