Another nice thing about the side silhouette of some older homburgs is that, rather than tapering to the top (as on modern homburgs and fedoras), they actually had a slight flare (got slightly wider) towards the top of the crown.

I tried some salt water squid lures for musky and they went crazy for them!!! I caught 6 fish in the first hour and 14 total for the day! Best musky lure ever!!!! SQUID! Who would have thought? The fish were not that big but if they made bigger squid lures (15 inch) I think the big ones would tear them up! Soft plastic would work the best. The ones I were using were 10 inch soft plastic life like swim squid lures.
