FINALLY a wargame with a fantasy theme instead of historical-and that actually looks gorgeous!!! 😊👍👍👍... But without a solo mode, this will never hit my table so I cannot justify making room for it. Good luck with the campaign. I hope to see a second edition or something in the future with a solo mode because I've always wanted to buy an actual hex-map wargame-but don't like historical/real world settings and, like I said, NEED a solo mode to justify the room it takes up.

The author said that it's medium Solo capacity as there is no hidden information, except in the advance game, but even that can be worked out... but no bots for sure.

Re: solo mode. I would be very surprised if the creative gamers at BGG don't come up with an effective way to play it solo. Plus, the game doesn't appear to have the Fog of War or CDG cards which would make soloing difficult. If that helps to make a decision.

For the basic game you can play both sides as there is no hidden information. The advanced game with spells and blessings would mean you have some information that you would normally have hidden would be known solo, but still doable. I plan on playing this both solo and with others.

I was curious about this game as it seemed cool. However, I have immediately lost interest after hearing 'rolling dice'. Seriously? In a war game? No thanks...

That was one of the reasons I bought it! Battles should always be determined by dice, because in reality battles can end unpredictable. My favorite games are Axis and Allies, Samurai Swords, Descent 2. ed. and Root.
