I can remember my brother coming home from burning brush pile’s operating a 955 Cat open cab..all you could see was the white of his eyes..I think that is why admire your skills so much..you remind me a lot of him..he as well was very talented on any machine…we lost him in 2000..thanks for sharing what you do..it means a lot 👍
@dankreoger6112 жыл бұрын
Really cool that the 953 came up for sale at the right time. You don't have to drag the other equipment off job sights when you work at home. More versatile for the work you have to do there.

Clearing and burning brush seems to be a never ending task. You are making progress every time that you have time to work on the new area of the farm. Some day that also will be a good pasture/grazing area. TY for the videos.

NIce to finally be able to get rid of the brush collection. Sadly, the loader doesn't appear to be as efficient as the 220 for stacking burn piles, but make do with what is available. Thanks for sharing Chris.

Chris you have to be so proud of your accomplishment so far on your farm, it is really looking great from what we can see anyway, keep up the good work for you are doing this job for yourself, and I'm so happy for you...you have earned everything you have and now you have earned this, I'm a Vietnam combat vet, I hate when people say to me "well you deserve it" man I hate that and I tell people "I don't deserve anything" I've earned what I get and I can tell you are the same way Chris...

Hi Chris hope your feeling better. I think that the excavator does a better job stacking the fire. It was nice watching the track loader stack it. Have a great night Chris and thanks for sharing another great video with us 😀
@genesispuredeaf23902 жыл бұрын
Nice? It was painful…we are spoiled watching him dress up a fire w the excavator. The grapple movement was tedious enough that even Chris said “enough” and started pushing the pile
@ralfus372 жыл бұрын
Seems like a skidsteer and grapple is more efficient sometimes, but on another jobsite. This machine covers the D6 brush blade and a mini excavator combination, just different procedures. Very interesting videos lately.

This fire seems to be burning better then yesterday's. This called seasoned wood vs un-seasoned. Thanks to the video operator and Chris editing.
@JCrook10282 жыл бұрын
Lol, I sure wouldn't call it seasoned when it still has green needles on the branches. It is drier tho by a couple months. In a years time then it would be getting "seasoned".

Great work! I'm happy to see you thrive bro. I didn't know you could bale Rye grass. Here in south Texas you need to cut it often enough to prevent the stalk from maturing into a split. Supposedly it will loose it's freeze resistance if it matures.

Try NLGI #3 grease in your track tensioners. It's thicker so it doesn't leak down as easily. Primrose makes Armor Plate 327C in a NLGI #3 that works well in track tensioners that keep leaking down. I wouldn't recommend it for anything else because it gets very stiff even in #2 grade.

Hey Chris, I just had an idea; would you be interested in trying something on your four-way Bucket? Just looking at it from your operator position, it looks like you might be able to detach the tooth extension and flip it around or flip it over and attach it so that the teeth are facing down that way you’d have a proper grapple with the addition of brackets on the other side of the blade. Another thing from experience with my dad’s D9, he used silicone oil on the tracks every week and it never squeaked and never rusted either because it repels water better than WD-40. It will not attract sand and mud to form a grinding paste.

Everytime I watch a video with this machine I get the feeling it bogs down quit fast. I know it is a lighter machine, but I don’t see the tracks spinning, as soon as it hits something, it simply stops moving. Either the motor is to weak or it needs a tune up. But that is my observation, I am not an expert.
