I love how multiple times in the album he says “I’m incapable of change” which shows how hes still holding out on Boywithuke but on Change, the last song he says “I’m capable of change” showing how hes finally able to move on

throughout the album he gets more and more open to change, in stranger he feels like he's stuck in this place and is incapable of change, paper planes he starts to accept the bad habits hes gained, in petrichor he wakes up to realise how he couldnt done it better, pitfall he starts to question how he can let go from his old self, in corduroy he ends his old character, in love lost he feels lost now hes left this old character, in easier he accepts his new personality and feels free and in change he finally feels like hes changed and is someone new

In my opinion, change feels like that one feeling after finishing a final exam and starting the summer break; the freedom of no pressure and being so light and in the moment: We still don't know what will happen but we don't care. Somehow that song literally pulled back some of my childhood memories and made me nostalgic. Farewell, Boywithuke.

My interpretation of the end of Love Lost as far as symbolism goes, I imagine this goldfish being a metaphor for a first time experience. Given as though he feels he was unable to take care of the girl he cared about, or even past relationships; Same way when you’d be given a goldfish as a kid, it’d be your first time taking on real responsibilities. And much like when a goldfish dies; It’s debilitating to the young mind, or in this context a wistful experience/memory he’s had and holds with him. The song, Coffee to my understanding is trying to evoke a setting that feels amiss or rather nefarious, as the name literally suggests: talking over drinks, or coffee in this instance, being a way of small talk. Evident by how he introduces the lyrics after the chorus, they almost feel like icebreakers. While on the contrary, this particular individual they are meeting up with has more of I don’t want to talk things over, or I’m just here to get something from you type of deal.
